Steve and his team at Nest did a beautiful kitchen renovation for us over a relatively short amount of time last summer (our timeline was tight and they were up for the challenge!) We are very appreciative and impressed with the professionalism of Mike, who managed the on site work day to day with a keen attention to detail, treating our kitchen as if it was his own. When we were not there to see progress (we were away a lot), we trusted the professionalism of the crew in our apartment building and we regularly got photos and detailed text and phone call updates. The team stayed late when necessary and worked over-time to meet deadlines, even in the height of a heatwave. Steve and his colleague Mimoza helped us select materials that mixed our vision with their expertise. They helped us to find something that felt updated and clean but still practical for a young family. Our storage space was maximized due to their vision of how to problem-solve tricky spaces and finding "work arounds" for difficult structural issues like intercom lines and walls that could not be moved/taken down. Our new kitchen has completely opened up and changed the entire feel of our pre-war apartment. I had a very positive experience working with NEST for a home renovation project, and I highly recommend this business. My home is in a historic brownstone building with lots of quirks, and Mike, Ben and Steve, the NEST contractor team, took immense care to preserve the integrity of the building while dramatically improving my living space. When we ran into the inevitable snag, they had impressive problem-solving abilities were able to come up with good solutions every time. When they noticed some additional add-ons to the originally planned work, they suggested them without ever giving me the hard sell. They had great ideas and design sensibilities.
