I'd been going here for years and used to love it when they were in the previous location. However after my last session even though I still have 1 left I may not go back. I was there 1 day and a lovely woman who I've dealt with before was at the front desk. I went into the same bed I've used a million times before (it'd the only bed I use there) and told her the air conditioner light was flashing, which isn't normal, she said it's probably fine and not to worry. Well after getting into the bed I felt like I was laying on the surface of the sun. It was unbearable. I hopped out and she graciously returned the session to my package and said to come back the next day. I was going away so I returned the next week and the owner was there with a different women at the desk who was the opposite of the previous person. She was giving me dirty looks and rude the minute i walked in. I started to tell the owner about the bed not working for my previous session and he said "that is impossible the bed cannot function without the air conditioning" I replied that I had no reason to lie and he looked at his rude receptionist who rudely snickered and then he said well try it today and see if it works. I did and sure enough the light wasn't on anymore and the air flowed wonderfully. However 6 bulbs were out. I wasn't looking for a refund on the session. But i was going to tell him so they could be reolaced. When I got out I brought the fact that the bulbs were out to his attention and asked when they would be replaced so I could come back for my final session. His reply was "they arent we are getting rid of that bed." So I said "so you're just letting them die out" his reply was "yes" As a customer paying 40 for a fully functional bed that alone is bad business practice to knowling guve your customers less than what theyare paying for. I then asked him what bed is comparable to that one (KBL) He pointed to the door behind me and said "I would say that one but it might be "too hot" for you" (referencing the fact that he didnt believe that the air conditioner on the bed didn't work) and the obnoxious receptionist that was there again laughed right at me and he was fine with it. I said "why do you think it's too hot for me" he said "just a gut feeling" rude receptionist again starts laughing. It was like I was dealing with high school bullies. So immature. So unprofessional. I was in no way rude to them but for whatever reason they decided to treat me horribly after being a very long time client. Read moreThis place has one of the worst staff I have ever met in my life. The one girl at the front desk is rude, disrespectful and a such a liar. There hours which are posted on their website and on their door are not something they abide by. This business does not care about their customer's time. They clearly disrespect you and your precious time. They do not open their doors and accommodate those hours but they sure do find excuse for not being there when they are SUPPOSED to be open to their paying customers. I have waited on several occasions in the front of their building on the side walk for hours and have even left and come back around and still not open. This has happened so many times that I started calling before I would come. One time I called the girl was so rude that she hung up on me. When I got there as I paid for a package to use their tanning beds the first thing out of her mouth to me was "don't ever hang up on me." I thought that to be inappropriate and out of line. She continued with her disciplining me and not stopping. I asked if I could just tan and stop this and she was screaming and yelling at me. I was shocked and appalled at her behavior. I did use the tanning bed and later that day I received a call from the so-called owner. Not sure if it was or not, and he harassed me on the phone saying I was not allowed back. I will take them to Court. This was the worse day of my life. It was horrific and I ended up in the hospital due to their offensive, harassing and unlawful behavior towards me. I advise you to not go to this salon. There are many right in the neighborhood that are so much better and much nicer to deal with. The staff is horrendous here and also, let's be real TANNING CAUSES CANCER and can kill you and these people don't care about that . What they do care about is money in their pocket. Read moreI used to be a regular customer of this salon. Until I met with the administrator, who is working today, January 24, on Murray hill (blonde hair, I can send her photo). She is rude to customers, screams and even threatens. I used to see her many times in the salon, never smiling at anyone and screaming something on the phone in Russian or in poor English. When I came today to her shift, she responded to my greeting with the phrase: "Wait" and continued to do something in the computer. When she was free, she rudely asked me: What do you want? I told her that I had a regular tanning session. She didn’t answer anything for a long time watching something on the computer, and then began to tell me that there was nothing to be outraged, although I didn’t tell her anything. She spoke very rudely, and when I asked her what was the matter, she shouted that she would cancel my subscription now, would not return the money to me. I said that in such a situation I would have to go to the police. Of course, I was shocked and asked to speak with the manager, to which she stated that she was the manager. I hope that this is not so ... Previously, another very kind girl worked there (as I remember, her name is Anastasia), who advised me to subscribe, and I enjoyed it.
