Beware! We went on vacation for a couple of weeks & sent our dog here for boarding. After we picked our dog, she started crying/whimpering when we tried to pet her. We discovered she had an ear infection! We took her to a vet that very same day and was advised that it was a very serious/bad infection! We spoke w/ Deliah and Tony at Dogs Cats & Co and were told they do Not care for our dogs and that they have someone else walk them.
Apparently the dogs were left there in the room and that's it!!! No one even knew our dog had a severe ear infection! They do not have cameras like many other dog boarding places do in the area.
They gave our dog a bath. She has a white/wheat coat and then we realized the top of her body (the spine) has light brown highlights and feels course! It looked like their groomer prob burnt our dog's fur from blow drying our dog! Her original coat/fur is white/wheat color and is very very soft and now the top of her body (spine/back area) has light brown highlights and feel harsh like her fur had been burnt from the dryer!
Deliah and Tony denied anything is wrong with our dog! They said they did Not know about our dog's bad ear infection! Our vet says the ear infection is very very bad -- if this company has an ounce of care/consideration for any dog staying in their property they will know that a dog is a severe ear infection! Our dog would not even let us pet her because she was in soo much pain:(
We are Not looking for a refund and just want everyone to beware of this company! When a family member went to visit our dog one day in the morning around 10-10:30am, they told us our dog is not available and is out for a walk. They do not have any cameras, so who know where they actually kept our dog for 2 weeks. I'm just grateful she's not death because our vet said our dog was in so much pain that she could have become death if we didnot take her in!!!
If anyone boards their pets here at this place, beware! Perhaps a day is ok but not...
Read moreI took my dog here for about 2 years. So I guess that makes about 6-8 grooming sessions. I was pleased with all of them except for 2. This is why Iâm giving 2 stars instead of 1.
I realized cuts on his skin near his stomach after his 3rd grooming session. I let them know and I believe they stopped working with that groomer. I was pleased with the action they took and how they took this issue very seriously so I let it slide. That was my mistake.
Last time I went there it was worse. I picked up my dog and as he started walking, his paws started bleeding. All 4 of them. I picked him up in my arms to take him to the vet. The nurses at the vet stopped the bleeding after 10-20 mins and told me the groomer probably cut his nails too deep. It is basically like human nail where you cut the pink parts instead of the white parts. I spent 2 hours cleaning splattered blood off his body at home.
I contacted them about it. They apologized but added that it was because my dog âmoved his pawsâ and ânext time you get a discountâ.
If I was the manager, I would reply something like; We know you probably wonât choose us again after what happened but we still want to give you a refund for a sign for our apology. But no, next time I get a discount. The money for the refund isnât even that important but the intentions are. Unlike the last time, I hated the way they handled the situation.
There was only one person who really helped me time to time with my pup at the front desk. I donât know if it was her who replied to me like this but I hope it is not. Because of 6/8 times they didnât hurt my dog and one person was nice I give an extra star. Otherwise it would be 1. Never...
Read moreIâve now been to this grooming location twice, and both times I left extremely frustrated with the service and pricing practices. On my first visit, I was quoted around $48â$49 for a simple bath. When I picked up my dog, the bill was nearly $75 after they added a nail trimâwithout ever explaining what that extra charge would be. I was surprised, but let it go because the location was convenient. On my second visit, I specifically requested just a bath. When I returned, I was again quoted over $70. When I questioned the price, the staff told me my 35-pound puppy is considered a âlarge dog,â and that anything over 25 pounds is âlarge.â Thatâs simply not accurateâmost groomers consider 25â35 pounds medium. When I pointed this out, the staff member became defensive and dismissive, telling me I could âhave my opinionâ and she could have hers. All I was asking for was a clear breakdown of charges so I could understand the pricing. Instead, I was met with inconsistent explanations, poor communication, and an unnecessarily rude attitude. To make matters worse, when I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me. I think itâs completely reasonable for a customer to want transparency around pricing, especially when charges have been inconsistent on multiple visits. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism, the refusal to provide clear answers, and the dismissive customer service mean I will not be returningâand I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone who values honesty. If I experienced this poor behavior I can only imagine how pets are...
