My glowing review of my new favorite massage therapist Elysia begins before she even walked into our apartment. In just the few minutes we chatted on the phone, I felt so heard, a feeling I rarely feel with many in the medical/physical therapy world. She sympathized with my pain and took interest in researching my specific issues, research she shared with me at the session that gave me new insights to issues I've dealt with for years.
Elysia arrived on time and with a smile. She set up her super comfortable massage table (and I'm 6'5") in our bedroom with beautiful, fresh sheets and blankets. She asked my wife and I for as many details as possible about what was hurting us and what we were hoping to get out of the massages. I have very sensitive joints and her research into my issues made her totally sensitive to my pain and she was totally respectful and careful not to hurt my joints while still giving a deep massage. Her knowledge of all aspects of human anatomy and physiology was really impressive and allowed her to answer all questions about what she was doing and why. I was truly sad when my hour was up. Elysia is so friendly and warm and really creates a safe, comfortable space, something that's very important for a truly relaxing massage.
I must also note that she wore a mask the whole time and respectfully asked my wife and I to wear ours the whole time which we greatly appreciated.
What could be better than an amazing, friendly massage therapist giving you an incredible full body massage in the safety and comfort of your own home?? I'll be singing Elysia's praises to all my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreElyse at One for All is incredibly attentive and intuitive! Ive had 2 massages with Elyse and send a few friends as well! Ive found that after just explaining a little of whats feeling off in my body, Elyse is able to understand and work on that area and the areas that are connected. I like a pretty intense pressure, but I still feel relaxed and present throughout. I'm looking forward to adding cupping in a future appointment.
The current space at TigerLily Hollistic in Ridgewood is open and spacious (like a loft) and feels very calming as soon as you step in the door. The massage room is separate and private from the community acupuncture space with airflow throughout the large space. Masks are required and it I've seen everyone stick to it, which really helps me feel...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a great first experience. I went in because of TMJ, a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders, and migraines. Elysia was great at listening to all my concerns and health history. She also recommended cupping which I was afraid of (if you look at photos of it, it looks intense) but she was great at checking in with me throughout treatment to make sure I was comfortable, and let me know we could stop anytime if I was feeling uncomfortable. The studio is cute, clean and very quiet and relaxing. The day after treatment I felt sore, which is to be expected, but today, two days after treatment my muscles are starting to feel more relaxed. Elysia even went the extra mile by referring me to a chiropractor and acupuncturist. Canāt wait for my...
