If you looking to pay a co-pay and ins. to do what you can do yourself at home then go to Fresh Pond Physical Therapy. Have an issue with a bill ?Dare call John because it turns into a full-fledged argument. Very little Hands-On at Fresh Pond Rd location and the only way I got them to do a little bit more than a 15 heating pad and 30 sec massage, was to say that my doctor said that he wanted the knee bent back more or he would have to manipulate it. Thats the only way they would do what you came there for! They would leave me in the room and tell me do 20 of these exercises both legs, leave and then come back awhile later telling u to do 20 of whatever they could think of with a ball and take off again to the next patient. NO 1 ON 1. Just habe you do stuff I could do at home on my own.The only time they went the extra mile was when I said my dr wanted more. Billing dept started a whole argument over me owing $16.00. I paid them over $650. in out of pocket co-payments not to mention what the ins paid out they made out like bandits and 2 years later send me the $16 bill. Tacky! The callback number on bill isnt even contact 4 billing and they bounced me around different locations. They also post signs about their cleanliness at the Fresh Pond location when I had complained about dust everywhere especially mirrored area near bikes. Think twice about going here if u really need therapy. The therapeutic staff is "nice" though if thats what your looking for and not therapy. Theres a great massage shop (catherine nail) that also does nails and pedicures across the street. For $1 a minute, those ladies had me walking up my stairs like she performed a miracle after one 20 min session than I got in 6 1 hr sessions at Fresh Pond. They circulated my blood flow and Im...
Read moreFirst, the reason why I’m writing this review: I lost a “who can balance longer” bet with my awesome physical therapist Kariz. Now, they never said it had to be a good review, haha but it definitely is. Honest review coming up.
CONS: You do have to pay $10 for the electric stimulation pads it’s not covered by insurance. However, it’s only a one time fee. (You can choose not to do it but I highly recommend it, I really needed it to loosen up and be able to put in work) The place is pretty small but they make it work and they constantly have someone cleaning as soon as any patient leaves an area.
PROS: A friend of mine told me about this place recommending it by only saying “the therapists are hot”. But the first person I saw when I arrived was Brian lol! Ok to the point, the staff is easy to get along with, inspiring, and really create a positive energetic environment to recover. Yes they will manage your pain and hopefully lower it. They go even farther and help you reach your goals. My first goal was being able to walk 20 blocks to and from PT. I did it. The therapist told me what I had to do and I listened and gave it my all. My next goal is to start jogging again. I know this place will get me there. If you really want to recover and possibly do the things you couldn’t do anymore because of your injury this is the place, but it isn’t easy. It’s simple though, work hard and listen to your hot therapist. Every single time I leave I feel this natural high/accomplishment.

Read moreFrozen shoulder after a cycling crash. I toughed it out for five months. There was moderate improvement over that span, but it leveled off at a point where there was still chronic, fairly annoying pain, with arm movement limited to perhaps 60%. Out of frustration I saw an orthopedist. She recommended physical therapy. The prognosis was full or close to full recovery, but it could take up to six months. With Fresh Pond, I was there in three. They couldn't be more welcoming. Sincerely great people. Skilled and highly knowledgeable. The exercises are challenging, but that's what it takes. I had doubts as to what physical therapy could do. I'm now an enthusiastic advocate. Richard, Stanley, both Christine's know their stuff. I have to give a little extra applause to Richard as he was my primary therapist. Very informative. Very effective. To anyone about to go into physical therapy, it's important to give your therapist feedback. What hurts. What doesn't. They generally know how far you need to be pushed, while being sensitive to your pain threshold, but it helps to share information each session. What's getting the best results, if you feel you could do even more, and so on. PT is...
