Petee's Pie reminds me of a local neighborhood pie shop, except for all of NYC. It's a cozy little spot with pretty scarce seating both indoors and outdoors, but that doesn't really matter too much since it doesn't really take too long to consume a slice of their pies. I got the blueberry crumble and the banana cream ice box pie. Each slice was served in a triangular plastic container topped with a pink label. The banana cream pie was very refreshing on a hot day, since it was the icebox type. Surprisingly the banana flavor really came through and did not taste like artificial banana flavoring. The blueberry crumble was delicate, the blueberries were tiny (like Maine blueberries!). The pies weren't overly sweet, so eating a whole slice in one sitting was possible and very enjoyable. While the price to pie price ratio was lower than what I've seen at other pie spots, overall, I'd like to come back to try some of their other flavors since you can't find a lot of the unique flavors at a grocery store.

Absolutely the best Sweet & Savory pies I've had to date. My very top favorite pies to order here for slices and whole pies for the family are the Seasonal Peach pie & Banana cream pie. The banana cream pie is a pillow soft, airy, dreamy and creamy soft delight with just the right amount of light sweetness to really melt the taste buds into heaven, the crust is butter rich with a hint of salt to the taste totally lovely on the palate. Peach pie when in season is wonderful, tender fresh peaches cooked gently and layered with not too much sugar into their butter rich pie crust which is paramount to a great pie for me. Recommended is their maple whip cream, the 4oz for $2 to layer on top. Cannot go wrong here ever, it's rich and delicately sweetened perfectly. Savory Chicken pot pie is personal sized that has a thicker flakier crust, tender chunks of chicken, vegetables with a perfect consistency to the sauce inside and great for lunch it anything really. Best pie company in Manhattan!

I have had this place on the back of my mind for a while. It is a small pie shop, with most of the floor being taken up by the kitchen and storage shelves. There was only one staff there when we walked in, and even she disappeared somewhere in the back for few minutes... But with it being a small space, I am sure if you yelled out, she could hear and come right back.

They had several kinds of ice box pies in the refrigerated window showcase. On the back of the counter, they had more pies out of the oven on the shelves. They have several Standard, Seasonal, Savory, and Ice Box Pies to choose from. We ordered Brown Butter Honey & Pecan Pie, which is one of their standard pies, and Banana Cream Pie, which is one of their ice box pies.

Our pies came in a paper container with wax paper on it. With plastic forks. I saw many photos of other customers from this place, with pretty, colorful plates, so I was a bit sad. I am not sure if they just stop serving their pies on an actual plates, or it is based on the staff/customer???

The pies were indeed excellent, even thought they were a bit on a super-sweet side, I would like to go back and taste more of their pies. The service on the other hand was really non-existing. We didn't get any greeting when we walked in, and didn't get much information on any of their pies as we were trying to choose which one to order. But the pies were good enough to ignore that part of the experience. Since I didn't get any of their seasonal pies, I would like to go back and get some fresh, seasonal pie offerings. Read my full review of the shop and food on my food blog,...

I pre-ordered two pies for thanksgiving this year. When placing the order you select a time to pick up. Upon arrival I was greeted by a line that wrapped around the corner. The line did move fairly quickly, but I still had to wait for 20 minutes. I get it, it’s the day before thanksgiving... I ordered a regular sized pumpkin pie and a small chocolate pie. My order was repeated to myself as well as the person packing up the orders. A bag was placed in front of me and it didn’t look correct. I questioned twice to make sure it was for me. I didn’t want to grab and double check the bag due to Covid precautions, but in hindsight I should have. I was assured it was the proper order. After getting back to my car and driving off I looked again and the small pie was incorrect. It was an apple pie, not the chocolate I ordered. Not being able to turn around and find parking again, I just accepted it. Disappointment didn’t end there. These pies were not good. The apple had a sour taste. The pumpkin was lacking cinnamon and had way too much clove and nutmeg. The crust was not flaky and almost flavorless. The fact that we had the problems with pick up was only made worse by the actual taste of the pies. Had the flavor been there, the pick up and wrong order wouldn’t have been an issue for me. Also, the price of the order was outrageous. $50 for a full size pie and a small pie. As stated before, if the pie was good, these issues would have been overlooked. We had no problem paying that price for a GOOD pie. This was the first time getting pie here and I don’t see myself going here...

This review is specifically for our experience ordering delivery on Pi Day. The pies were all so delicious (we had blueberry, apple, sour cherry, and pecan) but the delivery experience was extremely disappointing.

We placed a delivery order for 9am and it did not arrive until 12:45pm, with no updates or notifications that it was running late. We understand that there must have been an overload of orders on Pi Day but it was very frustrating that we didn't receive any updates. They do not have a phone number and you can only reach them by text message. We had to text them multiple times for any updates on the order, and any updates we did receive were not at all helpful or were ignored.

Ultimately, we understand that there was a huge influx of orders because of Pi Day and were even expecting the delivery to be late, but any notification at all on the status would have been really nice, and we weren't expecting the order to be almost 4 hours late. Again, the pie was delicious and a huge hit and would order again, but maybe for pickup instead of delivery and certainly not on...
