If you are looking for an amazing Pilates studio, this is the place to go. Not only is it affordable its smaller classes so more personal and one-on-one attention. I took 3 classes and 1 private. The first class and private lesson was with Joanne. Who is an amazing and attentive teacher, I had some injuries so she knew how to modify and do exercises that will help strengthen my body and help my injuries: her knowledge of the body is very good. She taught me stuff I didn't know. She is great for both private and classes. She listens to what the client needs and provides just that and some .
2nd class was with Toby, who was just as good and informative. He also was aware of my injuries and we did exercises that will aid in strengthening. I'm involved in many sports and these classes were just as effective but in a calmer way. The 3rd class I took was with Melanie. Was a wonderful class with stretching techniques. No matter what lifestyle you lead this class is suitable for everyone. This whole studio has something for all types of people. It deserves more than 5 stars. I'll be going back! Thanks, Habitat, I'm a big...
Read moreI’m so glad I found this hidden gem of a Pilates studio. I’ve taken both prenatal and Pilates machine classes here, and there are a few things that really set Pilates Habitat apart.
First, the class sizes are small—just six people—which means you get a lot of personal attention. Every instructor I’ve had has been incredibly attentive in correcting form, which I really appreciate.
Second, the exercises themselves are exactly what Pilates should be. It’s not about heavy lifting or pushing through endless reps. Instead, it’s about thoughtful, precise movement that’s deeply beneficial for your body. The sessions feel intentional and restorative while still being challenging in a meaningful way.
Lastly, the atmosphere is so grounding. Daniel, the owner, and all the instructors I’ve met give off a calm, genuine, and caring energy. There’s nothing performative or over-the-top—just people who truly care about helping you feel better and move better.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a more mindful and supportive...
Read moreOn a recent trip to NYC ( from Sydney ) I wanted to improve my current Reformer Pilates practice with sessions of the Cadillac and AcroPilates - neither of which I had done before but I am in-training to become a Pilates instructor so already have a very good knowledge base.
Daniel and his team were spectacular and incredibly welcoming. From my first class I felt at home and in very good hands. I took 7 classes over 6 days and each instructor with their own styles, helped me get the best "me" in every session.
Classes are small and members are friendly. In each session, the instructors adapt the class to each individual's needs, so the expectation is for each participant to work at their level - modifications and cues are tweaked so it almost feels like having a 121.
I had the best time and couldn't recommend Pilates Habitat...
