Iāve been going to Lisaās salon for years, before she moved to Rockaway ave , which was on Belmont. I never had a problem until the other day. The stylist that was doing my hair Natasha have done my hair twice before. Last time Natasha did my hair was last month, and she did a good job even though she took 11 hrs to do Mohawk braids, because she kept running her mouth and braids extremely slow. This time when I went, I got there at 12:32 PM she said that she will be done in 30 minutes. When the 30 Minutes was up Natasha still was doing the guys hair, She didnāt finish until an hour and 47 minutes later. I told her I had to be at work at 4pm. Natasha claimed that she will be done before that and that I have time. Now I finally get to sit in her chair of course she goes run her mouth a little bit and then comes back to me. This girl didnāt start my hair until 2:20 PM. She starts to braid and for some reason I felt like the braid didnāt look like the picture. Yes, I am Tinder headed. I wasnāt crying though. I just simply asked her if she could do it over. The braid wasnāt even a stitch braidI want it to look like the picture or at least close to it. Mind you it was only one braid. This girl said no, and had an attitude on top of that saying if I donāt like it, I can leave she has other customers, blah blah blah. This Heiferthen walks off and went and got ice cream and left me in the chair. Prior to that she was drinking Hennessy and Red Bull at work. Very professional. I held my composure, cause I have grown over the years and I didnāt say anything because youāre not gonna make me come out of character cause It was a Friday and Iām not gonna come out of the Bookings until Monday. I came a long way. Trust me Cause when a lion walk through the jungle, he donāt gotta raw. When I got home, I text Lisa the owner and told her what happened she never responded. Lisa never apologize For her employees actions. This is why Iām writing a review now. When you walk in the salon, sheās located on the right side. Almost you can say at the last booth. You canāt miss her sheās big and tall. I was very shocked. I wouldnāt think that she would act like that because I tip very well. Iām always nice to her Iāll Offer her food from outside or anything to drink. Obviously that didnāt mean anything to her...

Very cliquey. I was referred by someone who works there to a braider. All I wanted was two stitch braids going back. I was only going to keep this style for a week and wanted something quick and easy. A very busy shop and mostly everyone had clientele in their seats, fine. I know how that goes and donāt mind waiting. I handed the hair that I purchased to the braider that I was referred to and told her to give me a call when she finished with the person in her chair as I had something to do in the meantime. Two hours go by and I never received a phone call. I go back to the shop to someone else in her chair and a story about how the client before the one in the chair āmistakenlyā had taken the hair with her. I must look like I was born yesterday. She offered to replace the hair, in which she did with hair that was sold up front. The quality was way worst than the hair Iād purchased and it wasnāt 1B. After that, the lady referred me to someone else to do the braids. She touched my hair and then said it was too thick for two braids. I insisted that thatās what I wanted and she said it wouldnāt be stitch. At this point, whatever. This hairstyle was only going to last a few days as I was going elsewhere to get my hair done. The braids came out neat but not how I wanted them at all. Iāll never step foot in this establishment again. Very unprofessional. As black people, we need to do better. They would not do that to their mother, sister, or daughter. You do to others what youād like done to you. With that being said, I didnāt even get to keep the hair that she replaced as it was such bad quality. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI asked on several occasions if they were able to do the style I liked. The manager said yes and suggested I make an appointment and provided me a card. I followed the suggestions came with my own hair and on time. Only to get feedback that I probably spoke to the owner and was told if I booked with the manager I would of left a deposit. The manager then guided me to another worker, who she informed me that she would be able to do the style. This was not the case, the stylist twisted and untwisted my hair 4 times only to accidental hit my eye where I stopped her. It was obvious she did not know how to do the style and wasted my time. I have so much gel in my hair from her attempts. They could of been upfront and honest instead they were not. There was a dog as well, you are at work why is a dog there. I would not suggest this place at all. If that is the case you could go to any African spot or one these self-employed stylist. This is why so many women learn to style themselves because of the lack of professionalism and respect for business etiquette.
