I came here because I was in the area and wanted to get my hair done. I called to inform them of what I wanted done, and to see what the price would be. I called twice, and then they said that they couldn't "disclose information over the phone" and that I needed to come in first. What?? I just wanted to get a price for the service I wanted. Usually people ask for a photo of your hair and give you an idea of the cost, but nope, not them! And they also said they don't schedule appointments, walk-ins only. That should've been a red flag for me. Well, I ended up going anyway. I walked in at 3:01 PM, got seated at 5:02, and got a 5 minute blowout until my braider walked away again. My hair didn't get started until 6:05 despite there being over 10 braiders here. But that's not the issue, I understand that salons can be busy. Well, when I finally got another person that wasn't the owner (I think she was the owner) to acknowledge me, she asked what color my hair was, and then walked away for 30 min. She came back and then asked that I start separating the bundle of hair myself, which I have never done in my life. She then proceeded to walk away into the back and then do someone else's hair for another 40 minutes. The interior is pretty nice, they have an ATM, and they play nice music. I was just extremely annoyed at the wait time and the audacity to tell me to separate the hair myself, that isn't my job. I also noticed that the braiders take tons of breaks and switch to other peoples heads randomly. I am giving 2 stars to be nice. I love my hair and I really did love my braider. She was super nice and attentive. The cost was also only $160. However, It took THREE HOURS to even start on my head. Also, if you're looking to get boho braids and don't bring your own hair (which they refuse to tell you you need to do in advance), you have to pay $12 for a cheap, low quality pack of hair that only costs $5 at the beauty supply store. This place is ridiculous. Avoid them by all costs if you value your time and sanity. If you don't mind waiting, go for it. Just know I was in there for over seven hours on a style that only took 2. While the nice lady was doing my hair she had to stop to attend to her baby, and I even held the baby so she can try to braid my hair ⦠Iām very understanding because Iām a mother myself, so much respect to her. While braiding my hair she was rough, and pulling hair out of my head which I felt. When it came to the sewing my hair in the other lady did do it fast, but I felt like it was rushed. When she called herself being ādoneā my tracks was showing at the top and I had to tell her to hide my tracks because I refuse to leave out of the shop like this. She did a half job , didnāt even style the hair, no attempt to flatiron, or curl the hair so it matches the braids. For the money I spent , the service didnāt really match. The shop had kids yelling and running all over ⦠it was just a mess. Coming out of work myself and not getting no rest you would expect to get your hair done in peace.
