I found it disappointing that, despite other available tables at the time of seating, we were seated next to a very loud group of six to seven individuals. The volume of their conversation was overwhelming and made for an unpleasant dining experience especially considering it was our anniversary dinner. We couldn’t hear each other at one point. While we considered requesting to be moved after a few minutes, it seemed the decision to seat us there was final as they quickly filled up the other available tables, making it feel too late to ask without causing a disruption.

While the staff was attentive to refilling water glasses promptly, they rarely checked in verbally to ensure our meal was satisfactory. Instead, there were very brief moments of eye contact or silent gestures while we were eating that felt too passive and unclear if they were attending to us.

The food overall was good. However, we did have one issue with the porterhouse for two. We requested it medium rare, but the filet mignon portion was cooked to medium well. While it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t quite what we asked for.

The lobster mac and cheese has a strong seafood flavor to no surprise, so if you enjoy a touch of the ocean in your mac and cheese, it’s worth trying. The creamed spinach was nice and the mashed potatoes were fine.
