This place is scam my scale that I brought into way what is legit he won't admit he was trying to use pennyweight to make it like I didn't know what I was talking about with the gold prices I know about the gold prices even though I know he was making a few hours away I ended up still selling it but I'm just letting you guys know that he is a scammer and when you buy gold my scale was fine he was trying to mess with me because I am Young don't come here when you buy gold you go by the gold price and you make them $200 profit what commission for the salesman and part commission for the owner when you sell I know what he was doing already I wasn't stupid I just went along with it because I didn't feel like taking the train 2 West 47th Street and get it for 20 dollars under for example if the small amount of gold scrap around $80 and you weigh it help make $20 he'll try to make more to make it worth it and he has a melting pot and he'll melt it and they have a testing machine that tests the the amount of gold inside but in general people go through financial things and I was expecting him to be honest and I didn't feel like going all the way on the train but for now on I will but you know my revenge against the sky scamming thinking that he was scamming but really knowing he wasn't but really knowing he...
Read moreExcellent Service! I stopped into Seaview Jewelers with my wife (and 1 year old) to look at diamond wedding bands for her, which I have procrastinated buying for several years. We were greeted with with the sincerest desire to learn what we wanted and to genuinely earn our business the right way. *I should add that my wife and I have gone to a few other stores over the past couple of years only to walk out either feeling unsatisfied or that we were just plain getting ripped off.
We were helped by Alan, and after about 30-45 minutes, he had measured my wife's ring size, showed us several options, and reviewed the benefits of each. We decided on what we wanted, and then it was time to speak numbers... Since my wife's ring was custom made, the band had to be made custom (to match), the pricing seems to vary greatly from one jeweler to another. In this case, the price offered was surprisingly fair (a whole lot less than the two big name stores and more than 25% off the other independent jeweler we looked at). We placed the order, and less than 2 weeks later, I got a call from Alan letting me know the ring is ready, and my wife couldn't be happier with it.
I only wish we started here, and I would definitely recommend Seaview Jewelers to anyone needing any jewelry!! Thanks Alan, you'll have a...
Read moreIt is important to know that my review only reflects the jewelery repair/maintenance service that Eddie offers. I have not bought anything from this store so I cannot review their quality and have heard great things about the shop itself. I was told the shop and the repair service is separate. With that said...
My platinum wedding band needed resizing only by a quarter size and the stones were loose and and needed tightening of the prongs. They don't provide laser work on site- the repairs are done by hand, but i wasnt informed.
My ring came out all uneven and lopsided from where it was cut and resoldered. You can see where the ring was cut, the line is still visible meaning the resoldering work was minimally done. Half the band on the bottom is skinnier than the other half. When the ring was returned to me, it was unpolished and the diamonds were BLACK on the bottom side. They didn't even have the courtesy to clean that. With that said, the diamonds on the band were STILL loose!! It was a waste of my time and I left with damage on my ring.
Alan- the owner(?) had refunded me my $50 but I still have nothing but regret. Eddie on the other hand- I was told he has worked there many years...but I am skeptical about his skills and for sure would never ever return...
