Iām a Tibetan Buddhist & a close friend is Nichiren/SGI for many years. Unfortunately, I leaned she died suddenly, so I went to honor her the day she passed.
I was told on Thursday they arenāt open to the public & the venue was mostly closed - come back Saturday, with deep condolences. I returned Saturday for them to tell me again - nope - not today. Come back during the week for group chanting.

It was a reminder that even in the heart of the urban jungle, there are havens of peace if you know...
