Shugah Baybees Child Development Center — Local services in New York

We joined the Shugah Baybees family in 2016 when our oldest son was 3 months old, and he is now about to graduate out for PreK. Starting back at work and still adjusting to new parenthood were both made 100% more manageable because of the staff and care our son received at Shugah Baybees. We’ve been impressed by how truly excited the staff are to see our kids every day, and to build meaningful relationships with our family. We’ve also enjoyed building relationships with the other families and kids at the center, and it has always felt like a community to us.

The educational and extracurricular activities are well-rounded including daily academics as well as weekly music and science instruction. Our kids have both excelled in their development while attending, and our oldest has impressed us over and over with what he learns. The staff are engaging and intentional about developing a real understanding of each child’s needs. Our kids love their teachers and are always excited to be there.

Shugah Baybees is a hidden gem! This family run daycare provides great care and an extraordinary educational program, including weekly music lessons, library trips and science projects. Kids from few months old to 4 years old learn to interact and respect each other, develop their personalities and interests in a warm and caring environment. The staff is dedicated and very caring.

My first daughter started at SB when she was 5 months old and stayed there until she went to PreK! For her, it was a home away from home. Her experience at SB prepared her really well for the big transition from a small daycare to a public school setting.

If you are looking for a place where your child will not only grow and develop, but also feel loved, this is it! The teachers and the staff are all amazing. They will treat your child like one of their own and make you feel like family. We were really happy with our son’s progression during his time at Shugah Baybees.
