They have 1.5 hrs max stay, so not a good place if you want to work on laptop for longer. Also my impression for the female owner is that she is pretty judgemental, not pleasant to talk.
One day after I bought a lattee(here is 20-30% more expensive than other places), she came to me and said â1.5 hrs max stay per orderâ while I was working on my laptop. Then when I tried to communicate with her that I was a regular customer and I noticed that there were no other people in the shop (to make sure that I was not taking other people's space), she said with a funny high pitch voice:âYes~ I also always saw you sitting on the chair there and sleeping.â ...... Always? Sleeping? Not sure what she tried to say....
My guess is that she needs people to behave certain way in her cafe shop, but with unclear and judgmental communication, which definitely not pleasant if you look for a nice quite place to work with your laptop and wants to stay with kind staff.
However, most of the stuff there are very nice and friendly, which is totally opposite from the owner.
Update to respone to the owner's comments below:
Thank the onwer's comment and the owner said that :
"1. we donât allow customers to walk around barefoot."
If you mean to say that you once saw someone walking barefoot in your cafe shop and you don't like that, please just kindly ask your staff to talk to people. I never know that you have this rule in your shop, since this is a relaxed cafe shop located in a pretty relaxed Brooklyn spot, not some serious office in Wall Street.
"2. take naps in the fitting room,"
Fitting room? Do you mean the chair you put in the end of the cafe shop with an open curtain around it? Aagin, if you don't allow people to sit on any chairs in your coffee shop to relax, please identify the chairs with obvious sign.
bring in restaurant take out food.
Please talk to your staff and make sure you have a standard answer. After all, I asked one of your staff once if it was ok to bring outside food, the answer was "absolutly ok, since we only...
Read moreI used to go often over summer 2022. However, this year I had a few bad experiences and today was the worst of all. My mom and I ordered an Iced Chai Latte and a small Cappuccino ($12 for both). One big surprise was that while doing the Cappuccino, the barista added water to it. When I was ready to pay and give a $100 bill the barista didnât hesitate to say âwe do not take $100 billâ which could be understandable if they had a sign or something. So, I went to check if we had a smaller bill but our money only reached to $11 which it wasnât enough and we wouldnât leave the coffee that she already had prepared. I felt embarrassed because I had the money and she didnât accept it. So I went out and had to change the money. Luckily I was able to do it and when I arrived back the barista said that âactually I can take itâ, after I left and had to go out and change the bill which doesnât make sense once she rejected before. After checking this review page I noticed that I wasnât the only one to have a...
Read moreLast summer when I decided to support black businesses that I read about online I came upon this store Sincerely, Tommy and I really liked their items. I tried to place an order but the top sold out so fast, I knew I would have to be quicker next time. So next time they posted new arrivals I ordered a beautiful long tiered skirt and top but the top sold out so they only sent me the skirt and it is amazing!!! I got so many compliments and itâs not like I donât have access to clothes since I work at Neiman Marcus for over 20 years but I have to say this shop has amazing items and they have great customer service too, I always get my emails answered quickly. I follow them on IG so I watch for new arrivals and when they hit you really have to be quick!! The wait for shipping is longer than I am used to but it is well worth the wait! I am so glad I...
