I want to like this place more but I have some old man complaints about it that kinda temper the experience though. First I'll say, the ingredients taste fresh and everything seems to be done from scratch, big ups. It's the only spot in the neighborhood to get this kind of quality Japanese and fusion grub, which is cool. The vibe of the place though, while bright and sorta fun, feels a bit chaotic and haphazard. The weird tv in the corner above the play area playing like an old dirt bike race or whatever. The dirty menus on the tables. The handwritten signs above the register take a long time to decipher. Nothing's very clear or organized, so it makes you feel like a bit of a dope when you go up and try to figure out what they have, and what you want. I ordered a special from a handwritten sign by the register and they weren't sure if they had the sashimi to produce it. They did in the end, but like, if you've got a sign for a special, you should know that you've got the goods. The tacos came out carefully crafted and tasty but pricey. Almost $6 for a single fish taco? Of which you'd want 3. Kinda wild. The prices feel a bit much. Good hot sauces are available to add if you like. Staff were nice, but again it all feels a bit makeshift, and then you sit down and just stare into the giant coolers that they have full of all their product, right out in the open where you're eating. It's weird. I'll still visit, because I'm nearby and it can scratch an itch. Want to try the bowls, but the vibe is never satisfactory-it feels like a pop up. Or maybe I'm just an old soul 30 year old. Or maybe I just need...

Not really understanding the great reviews, but maybe they just aren’t good for takeout. I got delivery and I thought since I was close it would be fine but the taco was nasty. Pretty sure the pineapple in the salmon taco was canned did not taste fresh at all idk. The cabbage slaw was good but the only enjoyable thing. They tried to pack the taco so that the juice didn’t leak onto the shell which i appreciate but I just didn’t enjoy the shell. Just tasted like nothing (salt???? Plz) and better texture can be achieved with store bought corn tortillas. The salmon was also so dry and unseasoned. A fusion place??? With no seasoning!?? Why. The nachos were…... Idk if they were old chips but I also got the tortilla soup and those tortilla strips, which i’m assuming came from the same dough, were much brighter in color and crispier and delicious! The nacho chips were stale, chewy, cardboardy. The toppings were sad. Like just put it on the side if this is what we’re doing. The sour cream didn’t even make the journey. There was a very thin covering of toppings and quite a few layers of chips. Just didn’t make sense to me and I did not enjoy. But best for last, the tortilla soup! Very good minus the chicken, sadly another dry protein. A little sad the best thing is the soup because I almost didn’t get it and I would’ve had...

WARUDE is an absolute delight for anyone craving authentic Asian fusion cuisine with a modern edge. From the moment we stepped in, the sleek and stylish decor set the perfect mood for an unforgettable dining experience.

The menu is a beautiful blend of traditional flavors and innovative twists. I started with the crispy tempura shrimp, which were perfectly light and crunchy. For the main course, I had the spicy tuna poke bowl — fresh, vibrant, and packed with bold flavors that balanced heat and freshness flawlessly. My partner opted for the miso-glazed black cod, which was tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

The cocktail list is equally impressive, with creative concoctions that perfectly complement the food. Our server recommended a yuzu-infused sake cocktail that was refreshing and unique.

Service at WARUDE was exceptional — attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without being intrusive. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the presentation to the taste.

WARUDE is more than just a restaurant; it’s a culinary journey. Whether for a casual night out or a special occasion, this place delivers consistently outstanding food and atmosphere. Highly recommended, and we can’t...

Love Warude! Fusion Japanese food always hits a specific craving. On a cute block in BedStuy this is a great spot for lunch or dinner, especially when the weather is nice. Staff is phenomenal, hardly any wait time, and always playing good music. I really love the interesting and unique flavors has to offer — from the flavor palettes to building out a bowl. The serving sizes are GENEROUS! (Though my sides have often been a bit bland compared to the main, so sometimes the heaps of lightly seasoned brown rice aren’t enough to contextualize the delicious miso salmon.) I would note that indoor seating is limited so I definitely recommend sitting outside. On slower days, there should be no wait for a table. But at busier times, the restaurant is completely full with no luck of getting a table. Thankfully, their to go service bodes well when picnicking in nearby Herbert von King Park.
