Iāve been a long time S+B customer (visiting locations in both NYC + CA). Iāve recommended their services to multiple friends because of how impressed I was by the quality of their work and customer care. Today, my Brazilian at the Tribeca location was an example of abysmal customer service that did not meet my expectations at all.
The woman who sugared me was noticeably unfriendly while setting up for the appointment. She banged cupboards and slammed the baby powder container onto the counter, creating an environment of tension from the start. She was silent and stony during the actual sugaring. She only checked in on how I was doing once.
Even beyond this, she failed to provide the services I requested. When I requested she leave a triangle landing strip behind, she agreed. When she finished, I noticed sheād left a rectangle. When I asked her about what weād agreed on, she said she wasnāt able to accommodate my request. That would have been fine if she had communicated she wasnāt able to meet my request while sugaring me. Instead, she was silent and seemed to only take accountability reluctantly once Iād called her out on it.
Also, I understand that sugaring sometimes requires more force. But this level of force was aggressive and unlike anything Iāve experienced in my 4 years of getting sugared. If anything, it felt like she was using force out of contempt or spite. Iāve had sugarers who communicated the need for more force throughout the service to give me a heads-up (which is the professional thing to do). This woman did nothing of the sort.
The woman at the front desk who checked me out was sympathetic and kind when I expressed my dissatisfaction. She let me know the store director would contact me shortly. Iām still leaving this review to let others know that the Tribeca S+Bās quality of service falls short of other S+B locations Iāve been to in NYC. My experience today is embarrassment to a brand...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was hands down the best experience I've had with getting waxed! Usually the individual would swipe huge strips of hair at one time and/or wouldnāt forewarn me of possible painful moments during the waxing. Itās honestly left me hesitant to be consistent. Leah, at the Tribeca location, was awesome! She provided tips on how to manage the discomfort during the process, walked me thru breathing techniques and took smaller swipes to lessen the pain intensity. Though waxing will never be a walk in park for me, working with Leah made it manageable and even changed my mind about the consistency aspect of it. Sheās also a great conversationalist, so if you want a distraction to take your mind off of the discomfort, sheās got tips, tricks and stories. āŗļø To add, the space is clean, tidy and youāre greeted with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSugared + Bronzed is amazing because it is an effective, natural, and positive experience. Not only do I love that sugaring uses only natural nontoxic ingredients, but it is less painful than waxing and doesnāt leave me with bumps or ingrowns. My favorite thing about it is that the employees are SO nice. They make you feel at ease with their kind words and energy, which is very important given the sensitive (physically and emotionally) process of sugaring. Lastly, the clean and pretty interior is bright and adds the the overall pleasant experience....
