Tribeca Pure Barre is my new “home” studio after moving downtown in October 2021 from midtown where I was a regular at Central Park South for over three years. The Tribeca studio is a large rectangle shape with mirrors on two sides and barres on all four sides. Lockers, a restroom, water dispenser and dressing areas are downstairs.
The quality of the Pure Barre instructors is consistently top notch, with clear directions, helpful corrections/adjustments, and good counting (always helpful to know when in chair pose and counting down the last 10 pulses). Empower is an especially good workout - my favorite - that uses Bala bangles on the wrists and then the ankles. If you’re in the city, do not miss the chance to take Eryn’s class....

The Tribeca instructors provide challenging classes with modifications as needed, and may tweak your position to make the work more intense (pulse a bit lower, raise your leg a bit higher, etc.). The Tribeca Pure Barre community is friendly and welcoming. I’m always happy to see other regulars and newbies in class. I’ve tried many other barre workouts in person, and Pure Barre is the only format that...
