Exceptional Experience at Sweat440:
As someone who has tried out endless workouts and studios in the city, I wanted to take a moment to share the incredible experience I’ve had thus far at Sweat440. I’ve the opportunity to attend classes here for about a month, and I could not be happier with the experience, service, atmosphere and the results I’ve achieved so far.
First and foremost, the structure of the class coupled with the instructors are outstanding, managed by the incredible Dan! They all share the ability to motivate and push us to new limits, while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment. Their enthusiasm and passion for fitness and building personal strength is contagious, making each session extremely effective and enjoyable. These classes are a unique mix of strength training and HIIT, making each class the most efficient, yet productive workout experience I’ve had before. I have learned valuable techniques and proper form that have significantly improved my personal strength.
The studio itself is laid out in a conducive manner and well maintained, with the unique format of the classes offered being able to cater to all fitness levels and preferences. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into creating diverse workout routines to keep each day exciting; I look forward to my mornings spent here!
Another aspect that truly sets this studio apart is the sense of community; from my very first class, I felt welcomed and immediately supported by Sweat440’s wonderful staff. The positive energy felt in this studio make it that much easier to stay committed to one’s fitness goals.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the visible results, both inside and out, that I’ve achieved since joining this studio. Not only do I feel more energized and stronger, but I’ve also noticed a positive impact on my overall well-being. Again, as someone who has experienced a plethora of workout class types, I credit these feelings and improvements to the dedication of this team and the environment they have created. Read moreI wanted to start by saying how much I truly love this place. I’ve been absolutely hooked and have come in every single day for the past year. The workouts, energy, and overall concept are incredible—this gym has become a huge part of my life.
That said, I do have some concerns I’d like to share—particularly about hygiene, air quality, and customer service at the FiDi location.
While the studio overall appears clean—especially with the fresh towels, which I appreciate thanks to the dry cleaning service—there are certain aspects that raise concerns. For example, the water dispenser looks poorly maintained, which is unsettling. Even more concerning is that there isn’t a dedicated cleaning team. I was surprised to learn that studio managers are expected to handle the cleaning themselves. This seems both unrealistic and unfair, and it compromises the level of cleanliness that should be standard for a studio of this caliber.
In addition, the air quality inside the gym often feels stuffy and poorly ventilated. Given the intensity of the workouts and the number of people in the space, proper air circulation and filtration should be a top priority. Poor air quality affects both performance and health, and it’s something that really needs to be addressed.
Customer service is another area that could use serious improvement. I recently submitted a complaint and received no response. I later learned that these messages go directly to studio managers, which might explain the lack of follow-up. There seems to be no real customer support structure in place, which is surprising for such a premium experience.
This gym concept is too special to let basic, critical issues like cleanliness, air quality, and customer support fall short. I would strongly encourage you to invest in professional cleaning services, improve ventilation, and establish a proper customer service channel—rather than focusing on things like cocktail events.

Read moreOn 9 Nov, I approached the counter staff to cancel my gym membership and she assured me that it was done. I only realized on 27 Dec that I continued to be charged for two months after.
When I went back to the gym to explain my situation, Melissa the gym manager clarified that the counter staff do not have the ability to cancel memberships and that it has to be done directly through customer service online/the phone. I should have read the fine print, but I did not take further actions back then because I was assured by their own staff that a cancellation was done.
Sweat440 refused to take ownership, and they were not able to identify their own staff who was working on 9 Nov and is responsible for this error. I had a great relationship with the long-time staff as a member for the past year, but they had a turnover of people and Melissa was really horrible at showing empathy and understanding for my situation. She seemed to suggest that I was lying which is really the last thing a customer wants to feel in this case.
