Positives:
Thai Iced tea lemonade was refreshing and zesty.
We got a table without reservation.
Staff were relatively friendly, mainly the guy on the front desk and the lovely chap who was refilling the water.
Negatives The food!
We've eaten Thai food in various countries around the world and very rarely have we left feeling disappointed. I'm not sure where previous reviewers usually eat out for Thai food as our food was far from authentic and completely lacked flavour. I initially ordered the coconut soup which I've ordered in the past bur admittedly not often. I was expecting a Yellow creamy soup with a strong flavour base but received a white soup which essentially tasted like a can of coconut milk with some anemic mushrooms in. I assumed I'd confused my soups and made a mistake so I then ordered a Tom yum, which is my usual go to and absolute favourite Thai dish. What is usually a dish packed with freah flavour and spice turned out to be a fish sauce flavoured broth. I ordered both soups with tofu which appeared and tasted like it had just been cut from a block from the fridge and dropped in the soup. Again absolutely no flavour.
My partner ordered chicken padang which was better than the soups in flavour but mediocre at best. And lastly we ordered chicken drunken noodles to share, once again this was disappointing. The chicken in both dishes was slimey and of really poor quality (think cheap packaged chicken from aldi) not pleasent.
Overall a really disappointing (expensive!) Experience....
Read moreDON’T EAT HERE! We came to dine-in and all the food was so bad we had to send it back. This is what we ordered: app platter (they offer a variety but it just looks and tastes like a little kids meal (the spring roll had barely any filling, the moneybag did not taste good, the satay was mid, the chive pancake was alright, the shrimp dumpling was the best thing there crab Rangoon (not even house made- it was frozen and tasted like Chinese takeout) entrees: chicken kao soi (the chicken tasted good but the noodles were overcooked, chopped up and smooshy ) 4.5/10 pad see ew w/ chicken 3/10 (the blandest entree I’ve ever had in my life, it tasted like raw noodles, no seasoning, the noodles were literally white like they didn’t put any sauce) pad Thai w/ chicken 1/10 (it tasted like ketchup and lime noodles, no flavor, it had this weird microwave smell like it was frozen)
Also, when I went to use the bathroom, I saw the kitchen was super dirty, there was stuff scattered on the floor and there was a guy drinking water from a Nescafé jar and he put it back on this shelf) I don’t think they actually cook the food, I think it gets defrosted or they have a bad chef. THIS IS NOT AUTHETHIC THAI, pls don’t waste your money. There are much better spots.
** What threw me off even more is I had to send my food back and the lady didn’t even ask any questions, like it’s happened before, and she was nice enough...
