I wish there was a bit more singing and a real narrative or story, but the precision dancing was very impressive. I also didn't realize they used real animals for nativity scene, I was wondering why they looked so realistic haha. We sat at the edge of row MM ORCH 2 and had an amazing view of the dancers that came in from the side, as well as when various actors walk down the aisle - they walk between ORCH 2 and 3, so we were able to see really well.
I like that they have a direct tunnel to Rockefeller after the show, since that's the experience from the 30s too. This year, Delta also had a promotion for free prosecco or popcorn which was a nice touch.
We also did the 1 hour backstage tour after the show, which allowed us to meet and take a photo with one of the Rockettes. We had a pretty good tour guide. There is a bit of stairs climbing with this tour. If you have a voucher, you can redeem it at a booth on the lower level that's accessible from the side entrance, which actually allows you to skip the line. They recommend doing the tour before the show, but you can still skip the line if you do the tour after the show. We showed up about 45min before our 1pm showing, and were able to get 245pm tour tickets. They will give you a receipt which acts as a voucher that you give them once you want to start the tour.
Overall a good experience to do during the...
Read moreMany times throughout the years had the experience of watching the Rocketts. I, first then my family have joyfully attended. But on my last visit they have prohibited the picture taking scenario. I was surprised and discouraged because it is not a highschool play or a doctor's office. I paid just like anyone and I wanted a picture during the performances. Of course I did not use flash. The usher presented herself and told me no pictures. I felt disappointed because it felt like a moment to take a picture and remember it for keepsake that's why I kept returning. Then, if you want a picture with anyone other than your family you had to make a long line and pay an arm and a leg. No thanks!, I'll keep my limbs. What gave me a sour taste in my trip to the city, was the same story every year. Finally what put the icing on the cake was the ending scene , the Nativity was paraded using live animals. A camel, a couple of sheep and a donkey. I despise circuses, zoo's, Sea World, and any institutions that harvest animals as part of an entertainment pleasure around the clock use. My two boys only enjoyed the 3D experience and slept threw the performances. My husband also thanked me...

Radio City Music Hall - New York
Went with my adult daughter to a Friday afternoon show. We flew in to New York City for 4 days, mainly to see this show. The theater had a decent crowd but was not full. The theater itself is very pretty, and the special effects on the walls & screen during the show were very entertaining. The show itself had a good amount of variety, not just the "kick line type dancing" from the Rockettes the entire time (although I do like that part and they do that very well). Seeing this show has been something I have wanted to do for many years, and although the dancing was excellent and the show was entertaining, I honestly dont know if I would say it was worth the price of the tickets. Our seats, which were in the 1st mezzanine (which I would recommend) were good and gave us a very good view of the stage, so I was glad we were up one level, but at over $230 each, I don't know if I would say it was worth the price. However, it was a once in a lifetime type of experience, and overall I am glad we went, and now I can at least it is off my wish list, and I can move on to...
