Thriftland USA — Local services in New York

I’ve been coming here since I was a teen, i’m 25 now, and every so often you’ll find a good deal, but recently the prices have gone up crazy and it’s not even worth it. Like i’m sorry why is a prettylittlething faux croc second hand jacket $30 when it would cost that much unused! As a long term customer it feels as though you guys have sold yourselves out and are overpricing things! The point of a thriftshop is to find affordable items because they’re second hand, and it feels like you’re taking advantage of thrifts becoming trendy! At the end of the day ya’ll are in the bronx and the community that has upheld your business all these years cannot afford these crazy prices truthfully. And if you need to up charge at least source better quality items, cause again why am i paying RETAIL prices for a second hand used item, when it’s not even trendy...

I bought a monopoly 2003 Las Vegas edition the lady at the register opened it up to check if everything was in there and since everything was wrapped as if it was new she didn’t give a good look at it but now I have a many new pieces to different monopoly games. And not one complete game🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. How does one look at the game book a determined that 6 different packs of money with different monopoly game names on each different pack, one from the nfl version, one from nascar, another from the deluxe edition and it goes on. Hopefully I can sell it back to them because it was their cashiers fault she said “yes everything is in here”. I paid $14 for it in cash. Wasn’t a bad price at all just actually look in the games instead of just saying yea...

I really love this thriftshop there are always many things to get there and they keep thier store quite organized. I will say some of the staff are a little rude. I had a worker come up to me while I was trying to try on some shoes and she seemed angry and aggressive towards me for taking the shoes and trying them on. Maybe it was because she was fixing the shoe rack at the time while I was trying them on but I dont see that reason for being rude to a customer for just trying on some shoes. After I kept hearing her talk badly about me with co workers. The thriftstore is nice I just wished some of the staff were nicer. The cashier was very kind to me. Overall if it wasnt for the rude worker I would have came back...
