Read moreREAD ! READ ! READ ! READ ! INFORMATIVE REVIEW. This is my honest review of the tour with EWORLD. Yes, I was very skeptical about booking a tour with this company because of all the criticism they have received. I took the 4 day Canada tour ( Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal), and had a GREAT TIME !!!! Our tour guide was Ning (no clue how to spell) ? He was very organized with all the activities and really took good care of us. BLESS HIM .
WORST 3 DAYS OF MY LIFE! Day 1 (Philadelphia, D.C.) First, an apparent flat tired caused the delay of our bus to depart Chinatown at 8:00am. We didn't leave until 12:30, which means from here on everything was rushed!!!! Secondly the Russian driver Joseph which was not a professional did not know where we were going, did not know how to maneuver his way around the bus switches (A/C, fan, door closing securely). Also definitely didn't know how to use the GPS. So many times I had to help him navigate using an iPhone instead of enjoying my trip. We constantly had to help him navigate. The driver also very dangerously sped during the day and more dangerously at night! I have taken pictures and recorded video of him going 75-80mph at night, on very small and very dark winding highways. We asked him numerous times to slow down and other passengers express their concerns as well. Does this company do driver background checks? They put my life and many other lives in danger due to a wreck-less driver is beyond inexcusable!! Also, due to the late departure from Chinatown meant everything had to be rushed. We barely had any time to do any site seeing in Philadelphia. We were rushed to grab food and head back to bus. We did not see the Lincoln memorial, and most of Washington D.C. due to the inexperienced driving of Joseph and tour guide Celine not knowing where to park and where to drop us off. We wasted so much time just driving around finding dropoff locations. At one point we got out and walked around D.C's neighborhood lost not going anywhere. Eventually we left D.C. and headed back to the hotel which was 2 hours away, and we had not been given an opportunity to eat dinner or stop to go to the bathroom... mind you, this is 11pm already we are all tired and hungry! The driver missed many offramps, and exits which made the trip back to the hotel even longer. Our tour guide Celine said we would find a rest area on the way to the hotel. Which means the driver or myself had to lookout for a rest area while everyone else slept on the bus which is what I wanted to do. I have never ever experienced such unprofessional, disorganized, and sloppy tour guide company. Around midnight we finally found a McDonald's but only drive thru was open and we had to beg the McDonald's employees to please sell us food since we were not in vehicles. Eventually we found our way back to the highway with our speedy driver going 70-80mph in 55-65 speed zones (I have video and pictures of this!!). After I helped the driver navigate our way to the hotel it was 1:30am! Day 2 (Niagara falls) The tour guide did not stand firm on her time of departure to other guests and we didn't leave until 8:30am. The tour guide is supposed to be firm and tell people that if they arent ready at time of departure they will be left behind. She has no pre-planned rest stops. Her basic plan was to just stop at any rest stop we see as we drove on the highway. Are you kidding me? The driver was still driving very iratically even after being told many times not to drive so fast. He took a 35mph turn at 65mph. The bus skidded and we were all fearing for our lives. I'm in seat 1-2 and I can see everything! His legs are cramping up, and at times he uses his left leg to gas and break while his right leg rests, this makes his driving even worst! He was also falling asleep on our way to the Corning museum. He stated he did not sleep enough and was very tired and he even asked me to keep him awake. Day 3 on our way to Niagara falls he missed an exit and he tried to make it at the very last minute and literally forced the bus to violently exit the winding offramp and it felt like the bus was going to overturn on its side.. Also the bus had numerous issues, A/C not always working, it would over heat and cause an annoying loud beep that would not go away for long periods of time. The door did not...
Read moreWe took the 2 Day Philadelphia-D.C Tour and it was terrible. Our tour guide John had no respect for us taking in account that we had three elderly people in our group and at one point told us to get out of bus and part our own ways. The tour was going well in the beginning but I was confused because many of the information didn't match to the tour. For example, we were supposed to go to Princeton University but we didn't going straight to Pennsylvania. The thing that bothered me the most was that they demanded extra money that was not included in the ticket and expected us to pay around $100 in cash for each person in our 7 people group. This was outrageous because I do not carry around a huge amount of cash except a few bills and really shady as we requested to pay in credit and he said no. Now I refused to pay as it wasn't in our ticket and he told us that he was going to kick us off the bus and cancel our hotel rooms which was guaranteed by our tickets which we paid for. So we went throughout the trip and during D.C. he gave us times to board the bus as we didn't pay for the optional fees for the other attractions. Now before going to the hotel he told us to go and pay our "mandatory fees" in a restaurant. This was weird as I requested him if we could pay online or somewhere I can see the transition go to the company and he said no. This is where he started yelling at us saying we were refusing to pay the money and told us that he was going to kick us out of the bus. However, since we had three elderly people in our group and we didn't want to be stranded we told him we were going to pay but only if we can pay using credit in way that it can be authorised. Then when we got to the hotel we got a link to pay it and we paid everything. The 2nd day went well but overall the trip was terrible.
Overview: -Shady business as they ask for extra fees when on the bus which doesn't allow you to have access to money and these fees are not stated on the tickets. -Should go tour the area yourselves by renting a car or taking a megabus to that area and use a citipass to give you access to the attractions in that area. Also, you can book the hotel yourselve and it will cost the same amount as the tour companies charge you -The tour was given in both Chinese and English. The English was sometime really hard to understand and the information given was sometimes incorrect -However, if you do want to book a tour try looking at tourist attraction websites for the place that you want to go to. -The guide was not up to expectations to what the tour taking site said and he was rude, too (Had the audacity to ask for tips at the end). -Overall, I would rate it 0 if it was possible but I can't. Do not take this company or you will fall in the same...
