I recently ordered flowers for the funeral of my good friend's father. At the family's suggestion, I ordered from TJ's because of the relationship that the family had with this florist. I had a smooth experience ordering the actual flowers and Casey was helpful with the order. It was the interactions that I had with this business afterwards that earn it a 1 star: 1) there was miscommunication that resulted in the florist sending an orchid plant, not an orchid wreath; and 2) when I asked for a photo of the actual flowers sent (I was sent a photo of the single plant), I asked for a discount because after doing some quick searches online, similar orchid plants from florists located in the same vicinity were at least $100 less than the $517+ delivery fee that I was charged. The response from TJ's when I shared this information was unprofessional and incredibly rude, specifically when he disparaged the family who had recommended TJ's in the first place. Needless to say, never going to do any business with TJ's again and cannot recommend them less. Even if you disagree and refuse a request for a discount, you just don't start trashing a family who sent you so much business in the first place AND who just lost their...
Read moreOverpriced. Rude. Only nice when you're buying, but if you circle back and ask questions or need help, they're not interested. I consider this place a ripoff. Many ripoffs at least have politeness, but these guys are also rude, so it's a lose-lose situation. I'm also pretty sure my plant was infested with some sort of insect that hastened its quick death. Thanks for bringing bugs into my house and charging me over $100 for the experience. Don't use this place. Walk literally one block in either direction and use another plant/flower shop.
Update w/ Reply: Potential customers, pay attention. They just proved my point. Instead of saying, "My apologies, how can we do better next time.." they instead lay the blame on the customer, saying "you were frustrated." No, it was the second time I came looking for help and I was being treated rudely so I left. Don't take my word for it, read the MANY reviews on Yelp calling your team rude. Take some accountability, be self reflective, and consider that if MANY people are calling your staff rude, maybe your staff is rude. And yes, there 'were' bugs in the...
Read moreThis is a neighborhood florist for me so I was happy to pop in there one day to purchase some flowers for my mother. I bought peonies at eight dollars per stem. I bought eight of them. The flowers never opened. Five days later I brought them back into the florist and the gentleman I spoke with was very rude — they didn’t offer to refund my money or replace the flowers and the guy blamed me telling me that I didn’t care for them properly (which I did!!!). I have bought flowers from some of the most expensive well-known florists in New York City. Any time I’ve ever had an issue with the flowers supplied they were immediately replaced. I would never set foot in this shop again. The owners are rude and the flowers are not good quality. You can get better quality at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. For a fifth...
