I had an awful experience at this place, and I feel compelled to file a formal complaint. This is not a professional establishment. If you have a baby, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. They overcharge, take advantage of clients, and when concerns are raised, they respond by trying to dismiss you rather than resolve the issue.
Initially, I was quoted one price. However, when they saw my baby, they acknowledged there wasn’t much to cut and said the price would be lower. Despite this, the cashier refused to adjust the amount in the system, stating that it was 6:30 PM and she wanted to leave. I have video evidence of this interaction.
Additionally, on my way there, I received two phone calls from them rushing me to arrive faster, which added unnecessary pressure.
This complaint is not about the money—it’s about the way we were treated. I also asked for a blow-dry, which they said NO. Yet shortly after, a man came in for a haircut and they accepted him without hesitation. I felt completely discriminated.
If I call in advance and you confirm my appointment, the least I expect is respectful and professional service. Otherwise, don’t accept...
Read moreI chose Hair Decor after the stylist I was seeing at Red Chair Studio messed up my hairstyle. Inessa has been helping me ‘rehab’ my hair and get it back to what I wanted it to look like. It’s taken over 4 months, but she’s done such a nice job. I appreciate the level of care and attention she provides for each haircut. I get a simple number 1 buzz around the sides of my head and she takes the time to do a thorough job every time. I trust her taste and her judgment and I’m glad I made the right choice.
The studio itself is very clean and inviting. They have all of the equipment and products you expect of a quality hair salon. The staff are professional and welcoming. I am always greeted pleasantly. As a queer person, it has sometimes felt awkward to ask for what is traditionally a man’s haircut. But I’ve never been made to feel unusual or unwelcome at Hair Decor. They also charge me for a men’s buzz, which is...
Read moreDefinitely the worst hair coloring experience I’ve had in my life. I went in asking to hide my grays, dark brown hair and no red. Not sure what went wrong but Arthur had to dye my hair 3 times in 4 hours. First time my roots came out bright orange while the rest of my head was dark brown. Second time roots were copper. Third time roots were kinda brown but still red in there. At this point was scalp was on fire so I had to leave and come back the following day for a 4th time dying my hair. He also charged me full price after saying he wouldn’t charge me to fix the mistakes he made. My hair is now extremely brittle and broken and feels like straw- it’s totally damaged. My hair is falling out and so much thinner now. And it’s only been a month and my hair color completely faded and my roots are bright red again while the rest of my head is brown. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HAIR. DO...
