I’m new to the area and on the hunt for a new nail salon. Unfortunately, this won’t be it.

The pedicure was okay, but the tech was very rough. She used a sharp tool to clean around and under the nail, and it was painful.

I wanted powder for my hands, but they didn’t have a color that matched the gel on my toes. I opted to do a gel manicure instead.

I had a powder manicure when I came in, which only needs to be soaked off. My nails had already been soaked, why would the tech then proceed with removing the already soft polish with a drill? My natural nails were so thin and bendy after he was done.

They insisted I do a layer of acrylic because my natural nails are long and it would make it stronger. I don’t know why they insisted on acrylic when they clearly don’t know how to shape the nails properly. All my nails look different. I asked the tech to make it thinner and fix the apex. After another round of drilling, they still don’t look good.

I noticed there was some leftover color under my nails and asked him to clean it. He pulled out the drill again??? I stopped him before he could make my nails even thinner and weaker than they already were. The color could be removed with acetone, there’s just no reason to use something so harsh on someone’s natural nails.

There was no actual manicure. Just drilling off the existing color and then sloppy application of acrylic and gel. No attention to detail.

I was running late for a graduation so I honestly just let him finish, paid and left. This is just another drill happy salon without properly trained techs. I won’t be coming back and don’t recommend to anyone, especially if you want to maintain the health of your...

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but if you going to offer a service you should know how to correctly perform the service. I’m a business owner in town from Chicago on business I had a couple hours to kill before my flight out and I stopped in because I had broken a nail and desperately needed a fill ( I had a medium length pink n white set. We agreed to find a pink that was as close as possible to what I had with the understanding it wouldn’t be a perfect match (totally fine by me) the problem was the ā€œtechā€ could NOT lay the acrylic I don’t think she knew how or was just very inexperienced the powder was all clumpy and uneven the ombrĆ© or what was supposed to be ombrĆ© was not even close to blended (on the nail that was broken and needed to be replaced) I stopped her 3 times with my concerns and she kept thinking my issue was the color when my issue was there was absolutely no apex or shape no blending it was an all around disaster I’ve had my nails Done in NC & SC, New Ss Jersey, Philli, Cali, KY, TN, Indiana, MN continually in Chicago and I have never had a tech that couldn’t lay acrylic I was shocked i was experiencing it in New York or all places, I was getting on a plane home n so I finally just stood up and told her I’m sorry if you’d like me to pay you something for your time I’ll gladly do so but I’m going to cut these off and start over with my regular tech I’m extremely disappointed. She did not ask me to pay anything however back to my original statement when you’re offering a service you need to know how to correctly perform...

Absolutely thrilled to share my experience at Yumi Nails! From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in a serene atmosphere that instantly made me feel relaxed. The decor is chic and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a pampering session.

The staff at UMI Nails are truly exceptional! They are not only highly skilled but also incredibly friendly and attentive. My nail technician took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and offered thoughtful suggestions that enhanced the overall experience. The attention to detail was impeccable; my nails have never looked so elegant and flawless!

I also appreciated the wide range of services offered, from classic manicures to intricate nail art, all made with high-quality products that feel luxurious on the skin. The cleanliness and hygiene standards were top-notch, which is so important when it comes to nail care.

Overall, my visit to Yumi Nails was nothing short of amazing. I left feeling rejuvenated and my nails looked stunning! I cannot recommend this salon enough. If you're looking for a place that combines exceptional service, a relaxing environment, and stunning results, Yumi Nails is the place to go. Five stars all...

Super friendly staff and the place is clean. Came during their grand opening and enjoyed my manicure experience. My nails are thin so they recommended the UV gel which is more pricey (still cheaper than Manhattan) but I think it’s SO WORTH IT. I came with a somewhat complex design and think it came out well (we had to substitute the gold color for another). It’s been two weeks and my nails have grown a lot but they have not broken at all. The design also looks the same so it’s super long lasting. Will come back for a pedicure next time and also want to try their jelly nails/cat eye colors for manicure.
