Pretty good Thai fusion spot new to the neighborhood. I took my friend there couple of weeks ago to try it out. I’m not going to say it’s the best I’ve ever had, but it’s good to have more options in the area.
We both liked our drinks. I’m glad my lychee Thai iced tea wasn’t milky like the normal Thai iced tea I’ve had before. I’m lactose intolerant and forgot to bring lactaid pills with me that day, so it was perfect for me. My friend got the milky looking matcha drink, forgot what it’s called on the menu, but she really liked it.
The roti canai is my absolute favorite. I had tried it once as take out and it was still crispy by the time I walked it home. Tasted even better in the restaurant.
The calamari had a cool presentation but was overdone in my opinion. My friend liked the flavor, but I didn’t like the rubbery texture.
The crispy duck salad was too sweet for me. We ordered it thinking it’d be savory but it’s actually really sweet, from the pineapple to the sauce. Not something I would order again. If you like sweet dressings on your salad, it might be worth a try. The duck was nice and crispy, but didn’t have much flavor.
The shrimp pad see ew and the tofu drunken noodles were decent. Had the right flavor but a bit on the salty side. For reference, I’m the kind of person who eats baked potatoes with a layer of salt on top, so for me to consider it salty, it’s pretty heavy on the salt. If you’re watching your blood pressure, see if they can make a low sodium version.
Decor is new and the overall restaurant was fairly clean. A decent spot I would go back to again. There are still some things on the menu I wanted to...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I ordered Pai Thai and drunken noodle lunch special takeout on June 12 Wednesday from this restaurant. My boyfriend started to have diarrhea at night and I started to feel nauseous in the evening. Then in the midnight I started to have diarrhea too and it gets worse in the morning of Thursday. I took medicine but still feel nauseous and diarrhea. I have stayed home for two days and spent most my time in the bathroom. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would have given zero star if there’s such option. I know small business is not easy and didn’t want to make it a big deal at the beginning. However, it’s been two days but I am still running to toilet most of time of my day. As a concerned New Yorker, I do not want anyone to go through what I have been going through. Good luck with anyone who has had food from this restaurant.
A week later, I called again and wanted to talk to the store owner, the store manager told me to call on Friday after 3 pm. I left a message and asked them to call me back. Then I called again on Friday night, but then the store manager said the boss was not there and asked me to call next Monday. I tried to leave a message and ask them to call me back, but the store manager said "Talk to the lawyer" and hung up on me. They have a terrible attitude towards their customers. I have no choice but to report them to all governmental...
Read moreCame here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon and ordered off the lunch special menu. Each came with two spring rolls that were already drizzled with sauce. Personal preference but I wished the sauce came on the side instead as I didn’t love my spring rolls with that much sauce and would have loved to adjust it myself.
My friend ordered the chicken pad Thai and I ordered the green curry with chicken, which came with rice. We both liked our food that we’d come back but I also thought the green curry had a lot of coconut flavor(more so than other green curry dishes from other Thai restaurants). They must have put a lot of coconut milk/cream but I like coconut so I didn’t mind it.
Staff were welcoming, friendly, and the service was quick without being on top of you. The interior was clean and spacious and we didn’t have to wait for a table. Overall, for casual dining, we’d...
