Let’s start off by telling you how convent this place was to get to in the snow when I was there. I guess you could say that about almost anything in NYC. This is a pretty chill place and I really liked the atmosphere. The waiter was super polite and brought out water as normal. I placed my order and the food arrived quickly and it was steaming hot. I was really caught off guard when I saw the amount of food that they provide for a very reasonable price. I order the chicken sandwich and it came with two large pieces of meat on bread with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The fries was decent but the chicken that I got was very tasty. I can say that I got my money worth and I would have had leftovers but I was flying out that day and didn’t have any place to put them since I had already checked out of my hotel. This place I would recommend to anyone that wants something quick, inexpensive, and fairly good food. I don’t work here so don’t say that I’m only doing this because I work there, but I don’t. I’m visiting from North Carolina. I hope this...
Read moreThe service was very mixed. The waiters seemed very disappointed when my guest and I called an audible for take out instead of dinning at the location. They seem very confused on what I wanted and kept asking over and over, clearly when you have a staff that is dominantly Spanish speaking 🗣️, and your guest are diverse but clearly speak English it's gonna be a mess. I ordered a Bacon 🥓 Cheese 🧀 Burger 🍔 with NO PICKLES 🥒 on it. Guess what I got?
You bet. And it is unacceptable at the prices this restaurant asked for.
I grew up in Greenwich Village and so I know most of these establishments since the mid 80's. It was okay then, but it's far cry from yesterdays.
That said if you want to eat they serve okay food, service not the best and should improve in the bear future or they will end up like so many famous restaurants in...
Read moreThis is the spot!!! This is the spot myself, Choirand church peeps hang out at after service. Parking is not always easy, especially in the West Village, and when worship is in service but it can be found sometimes near the restaurant. The waiters are all wonderful and know our little group well. The restaurant is kid friendly, but usually, the kids seen here are the NYU students. The atmosphere is very comfortable, booths filled with chatting and laughter. There is so much to choose from the menu, and yes, there are vegan/vegetarian meals to choose from as well. The last time I ate there(2 wks ago) I had the chili with cheese over rice. The chili was well seasoned and tasty over the rice, perfect. Another spot with good food...
