New York is a town full of workers. People come to NYC to work, to build something. A lot of them don’t have children or choose not to, or have children later on in life. So their pets are their children. And our neighborhood is packed full of dog parents. A lot of us live uptown in Washington Heights so in order for us to get the services we need we seem to always have to compromise on something whether it be for our diet our grooming our medicine or our pets! If it’s not a great price it’s terrible customer service, if it’s great customer service, we have to go outside our neighborhood to get it & pay for it or if it is uptown & a great price it’ll be in business for a few months due to no support because nobody knows about it, or because it’s so expensive the clientele either goes downtown for the service or if it’s offering goods, they just buy online. But when it comes to dog grooming, there are things that are just nonnegotiable for me. Like, are my dogs in the hands of people who own dogs? Or in the hands of people who are just doing their job? This is important to me because it says a lot about how your pet is going to be treated. Will it be treated like a product, or like someone you love. Because those people understand and accommodate you and don’t sigh when you make requests and specifications about how you want your dogs to be treated and handled. I was recommended this place by someone @ my local dog park. So I took it with a grain of salt. But my first experience was wonderful and my second was even better. I was skeptical when I first walked in because there were dogs just walking around and hanging out everywhere, but when I realized that it was the employees dogs, I was pleasantly taken aback. It didn’t bother me, it actually made me trust them more. The place was a small boutique business but the dogs were handed over right away to get started which I loved because I hate when they have to wait in cages. It was like an assembly line and everybody chipped in. I requested that one of my dogs ears not be touched because she’s getting over an ear infection, and that she doesn’t like baths in general so please just use the hose lightly which not only had I texted prior, but he had already written down. And one of my other dogs teeth were bad so I don’t trust anyone brushing them but me. So they did the other two. I requested this because I remember them brushing them the last time. The best part was I received updated pictures and texts messages updating me on the process and progress of how they were doing which for someone like me who is a controlling paranoid overprotective pet parent who projects their codependency onto their dogs is perfect! It gave me peace of mind, made me feel like they were safe, and like I was a part of the process. On top of all this, there skills are amazing your dogs look spectacular! It’s affordable, and you’re left with a little photo shoot of your babies as a thank you for your business. They go so absolutely above and beyond that this kind of service is rare and ever this good in our neck of the woods. Please go support them so our neighborhood has the kind of grooming services that are normally only...
Read moreI usually bring my dog to this pet salon since it did such an amazing job the first time, the haircut and scent from their services was truly incredible but the most recent experience I had with this pet salon, once I had arrived back home from the salon I saw how my dog had a cut near his eye, I didn't realize he had that cut when I was still at the salon nor did he had a cut this morning and to top it off, the pet groomer didn't tell me anything about that cut before I picked him up. I called the place to see what exactly happened or if the pet groomer knew something about this but all I got was how they didn't know anything about this and that they always tell the owners if something happened to their pets. I don't understand how it happened yet I do know how severely disappointed I am in this place based on this, I would've preferred if I got told this instead of not receiving any type of communication on this, let alone I would definitely preferred how the pet groomer was honest and told me about this in person when I picked him up or through the phone call i made, especially if it involved my dog being injured or potentially could've gotten a more...
Read moreWanderHub is hands-down the best pet grooming place I’ve ever been to! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. They treated my pet like family and took the time to understand her specific needs and preferences.
The grooming itself was impeccable—my dog came out looking and smelling amazing, with her coat soft and shiny. You can tell they use high-quality products and truly care about their work. What really stood out was how calm and happy my dog seemed afterward, which speaks volumes about their gentle approach and skill.
The facility is clean, well-organized, and has a fun, pet-friendly vibe that made the experience even better. I’m so glad we found WanderHub—this is now our go-to grooming spot. Highly recommend to any pet parent looking for...
