My granddaughter loved the camp experience. She went on weekly trips. Swimming twice a week. She even spent the summer with some of her friends from school. The best feature is the pick up and drop off door to door service! Your child will surely love their experience when they participate next year in camp!

My 6 year old daughter is having a great time at Young People's Daycamp this Summer. The staff is attentive and amazing! The trips and activities they have planned for the children are amazing!!!

I don't know how things are run now at this camp, but the experience I had here as a child was nothing short of a nightmare. I was 9 years old when my parents sent me here (now 24) and I remember not wanting to go back after spending just a week there. I would dread when Monday would come around, knowing that I had to set foot back into that place. I was verbally abused by the counselors, they would yell at me after doing absolutely NOTHING WRONG. They were disrespectful, down-right nasty and had bad attitudes. They would sit and laugh with the other counselor members after putting me in a time-out for God knows what. (probably for just asking a simple question). Mind you, I grew up in a disciplinary household, always followed the rules and almost never got in trouble, so to have been treated this way by the staff left me in a state of disarray. We went to an amusement park one afternoon and I remember having to hold hands with the other students so we all stick together and avoid getting lost. I asked one of the counselors out of curiosity why we were holding hands and she proceeded to laugh at me and repeated my question back to me "Why are you holding hands?? Because you have to that's why!" in a very rude manner and made a comment under her breath. The staff that were hired at this camp surely had no experience in how to supervise children and UNDENIABLY couldn't handle the responsibilities that came with the job. I believe there was a lot of racism going on among the camp as well, as I always felt like certain kids like myself, were being picked on for no reason. I am in disbelief how some of the staff members SAW what was going on and didn't report the counselors. It was almost as if they didn't care or thought it wasn't their place to fess up. Overall, I will never forget the abuse I received at this camp and for me to remember what happened to me here (being that it was 15 yrs. ago), says a lot. If I could sue this place, I would. Hoping things are better now for the sake...

Wow, so it seems that we attended camp in a horrible year. My friend that referred me to this camp was also very disappointed this year. So the issues I experienced. The bus was horrible. My kids didn’t get picked up the first two days. Then everyday we had to call and ask if the bus was coming. The camp starts at 8:00 my kids were not being picked up until after 9:00. So by the time they arrive it’s just about time to reboots back home. They were on the bus for 3 hours. We were constantly paying for a lot of activities. Which I thought would have covered it in the price, since they don’t have to pay for overhead fees since everything is done outside in a park. Our kids missed a lot of morning activities due to the bus picking up late and arriving at camp late. When my husband ask for a bit of a refund for their lack of organization. Since kids missed a lot of morning activities. We received a refund saying no refund and they made an excuse to why and clearly said. You already paid so deal with however we function.

The moral of my story experience. I will never return or refer this company to...

Hopefully over the years a lot has changed, but with my time being there as a kid so many years ago, It was the absolute worse experience for a first time in seeing what camping would be like. Me and my sister hated everything about it. the counselors were rude, disrespectful, obnoxious, and verbally nasty towards the kids and treated us like dirt when the manager of the camp wasn't around. from activities such as hiking and even going places like amusement parks, there was no organization whatsoever disciplinary wise and even simple things such as talking to out friends when we were on the bus, they literally told us to shut up just because of the notion of us being kids. Ever since the summer of that year when my sister and me told out mother about our experience there and how scaring it was for the both of us, we never went back there ever again as kids and I'm glad she listened. if it's changed for the better over the years then ok. if not and if it's still like it was 13 years ago, please don't send your kids there.......
