Super unfortunate experience with person at the main desk, whose name was Gary. Initially quite rude about my Groupon and when I specified at the beginning of the service that I'd prefer to have my hair cut first he said it was fine, and once he had marked the Groupon used and I sat down he said that the business would not cut my hair first. I let him know that I had gotten a keratin treatment before and had my hair cut prior because my haircut style and texture of my hair allow for it. He then became really snippy and told me to get a refund for the Groupon. I asked why he couldn't do the treatment the way I had asked and he just repeated no. When I asked for his name for the Groupon refund, which I had to do multiple times because he was mumbling quietly and evasive, I elected not to do any treatments at the salon. He offered me a discounted price for the haircut (10 percent off) but at that point the poor service made it not worth it.
Walked 5 minutes to Messlook (which was heavenly) and got taken care of there instead. I will not be back here, and actively encourage the business to improve their customer service, especially since there are no shortage of incredible salons a stone's throw away...
Read moreI purchased a keratin treatment through groupon and made a booking for a Monday appointment. A couple days later, with no explanation, Zeno hair studio changed my appointment to Sunday. I couldn't do a Sunday appointment, so I logged back into Groupon and changed it back, with a note that I could do a different day, just not that Sunday, just please let me know what's going on. They did not respond. Later that week, they changed my appointment to a Thursday morning. They did this on Wednesday night, so I was unable to change or cancel the booking as it was less than 24 hours away. Pretty sneaky!!
Throughout the week I called the studio a few times, no one ever picked up the phone.
Strangely, my original Monday appointment was still showing up in Groupon, so I decided to just go. They were closed. And this time, they actually responded to me when I contacted them. After 2 weeks of ignoring me, they texted to tell me they were closed and didn't take appointments on Monday.

The staff is incredibly sweet and accommodating as long as you meet them with the same energy. Never had a bad experience with speaking to staff. Mistakes have been made with my hair before but upon bringing it up to the owner she diligently made sure I was assigned to a new stylist and happy with the new look. I have a hard time believing some of these bad reviews, I stand by the staff all the way! Been my go-to place for blow outs for years as they are they ONLY salon I've ever been to that knows how to straighten my super curly frizzy hair to a glossy sleek finish with literally zero greasy products. Always get compliments. The staff is super kind and even smile at me when I walk by on my way to work. Might not be a place for everyone but definitely worth the shot.
