My experience started off good but turned into the most unpleasant purchase experience ever. My husband purchased a wedding ring set for me for our anniversary. The ring was due to go in sale about a week after the purchase. We did a presale purchase thinking that we would pay the sales price. The sales rep rung the ring up and brought the receipt over, that's when we found out that she charged us the full regular price. She informed us that after the rings came in that she would do a refund of the full price and charge us the sales price. Even though we were not completely happy with the full purchase price being charged, we went with it. To our surprise, once the rings shipped out, my husband was charged again. His card had a pending charge of almost $19,000 on it when it should have been a little less than $8000. After reaching out to the store and being told by them that it was the company that my husband had the card through, we knew that not to be true. They will not place a hold unless a merchant puts in a charge. The Kays Manager/Assistant Manager did not take ownership of what they had done, certainly both the Manager and the Assistant Manager knew that this would happen. They both have sold items that had to be shipped to the store and they knew that once an item ships that the customer is charged again. There was no true apology from anyone in the store for this. It took a week for the charge for the $11,000 to be released. I had to call the store to see if the jewelry had arrived, when I called I found out that there was an issue and the jewelry, a diamond fell out and one of the rings had to be sent back. No one even informed us. After a few more days, the entire set finally came in, we picked the jewelry up and was sent on our way, we purchased the warranty. The managers did not explain to us how the warranty works. They did not provide the paperwork for the warranty either, we had to print it from online ourselves. I will never shop at the Newnan Georgia Kays location again. The customer service before you purchase is great, but after the sale is rung up, you can hang it up, you will definately be treated...
Read moreI would be rating them one star if it were not for their customer service. I have had to send my LeVian ring to be repaired multiple times within the last six months. I have been without it since bringing it in because the repair shop they use has been returning it with poor workmanship. FINALLY the last associate I spoke to when picking it up AGAIN and having to send it back AGAIN actually sent it to the LeVian repair shop instead of the repair shop across the street at Jared. (That's right. They "send it off" to the Jared in Newnan for repairs.) I have yet to get my ring back. I have yet to be able to get through to them on the phone. Every time it comes back (which has been multiple times within the last six months) I have had to physically go into the shop to see if it has come back. I never receive an email or a phone call, even though they continue to assure me that they will email or call me. Now, I will say, when I am AT the store, most of the associates (excluding the one who tried to tell me the rhodium on my LeVian ring was "antiquing", whatever that is. I'm still a little upset about the gaslighting, but I digress) I've worked with are absolutely amazing. They're very sweet, care about my concerns, and try to make my experience better every time. I appreciate and love them. My only wish was that my ring was sent in to the LeVian shop before this entire fiasco. I've been dealing with shoddy workmanship from Jared for years now. (Hello, broken shank on a resized ring only months after I got it back.) If management had shown these lovely (and I truly mean lovely. No sarcasm here.) associates how to send in a LeVian ring to the LEVIAN REPAIR SHOP, there would have been no problem. Other than that, I really don't like to do business with this store. If you are getting a non-specialty piece of jewelry, there's no worry. But I would not purchase LeVian from here. p.s. I still have yet to receive my LeVian certificate.
