On 1/24/25, I ordered food from the Tim Drum in Newnan, Georgia (the Ashley Park location, 228 Newnan Crossing Bypass)
It was $45 worth of food. First of all, I asked for my food to be spicy, it wasn't spicy at all. Then I discovered that they gave me the wrong wings. I ordered firecraker wings but Ireceived Pad Thai w//peanuts wings (see attached photos, still in my frig today). Thank god I am not a customer with peanut allergies.
I called the restaurant and spoke to (young gentleman) that identified himself as in charge. No manager on duty. I explained the situation and that I still have them if you wanted me to bring them back but I would prefer not to but I will. He said he's going to void the item and that it will refund back to my card.
Days later, no refund, so I called back and got the young gentleman again. (Again no manager on duty) He says I am not sure how to refund it (So why did he tell me that you did it?) He said that he'll have his manager call me. She called me on 1/29 and told me that she may have to her district manager to refund it because she didn't know how. (She's supposed to be the manager) Or she could put the wings on my app as a reward or free item. I said fine.
Today 2/1 there is no reward (see photo) on my app for any wings or anything.
I am in the area so I place an order and thought I could get this matter resolved while there. I get the same guy again (no manager on duty), just this young gentleman.
I went over the situation, he says he remembers. I explained to him that I talked to his manager this week and she said that she would add the wings as a free item on my app account. He responds that he can call his dad to see what to do. I am like fine. His dad tells him to take my number and someone will call me back.
Apparently, his dad is the general manager or some sort? I could not believe my ears. There is a simple solution to this. Why shouldi I have to wait for someone to call me back about something that happened on 1/24/25, that should have been resolved by now? They refused to replace my wings. I explained to him that good customer service and the right thing to do is to give me my wings and let me be on the way.
I had to log into my checking account to show him I never got a refund.
He caught an attitude with me, as if all of this was my fault. He told me it wasn't his fault that the credit didn't go through. What he fails to understand is that doesn't matter you must make this right for the customer. He told me I'm just doing what I was told. My response to that was your dad. should've known better on how to treat the customer. He should've told you to give me the wing so I can be on my way and not take my number and push this off another week. He tried to call his manager, she never answered the phone. His dad should have called his restaurant manager to confirm that she talked to me this week and resolved this matter but no one cared.
At this point I am over it and asked him to just refund my money for the order that I just placed today. He was hesitant.
I told him that I would be putting in a review about my experience. This is not how you treat anyone when you messed up. He says, I understand but I'm just doing what I was told..
He apologized and said he didn't mean to be a d* head earlier. I was shocked. No respect for me as a customer. I asked him for a refund again for the food I had just ordered and he can keep it. He offered to refund food and that I just keep it. Which made no sense, why not just give me the wings that cost half that amount to fix the order you messed up? I never ate those wings. I'm not even sure that the refund (for today's order) will go through. Mind you he said that he refunded the wings and that didn't happen. If the refund goes through, I'll consider the wing issue resolved but I still felt the need to voice my concerns regarding my experience.
I will never go to this restaurant agsin. The employees/management need to be taught proper customer service, and they need to have a manager on duty...
Read moreJust gonna start off by saying that I’m the type of person who never leaves reviews so by me writing this, taking time out of my busy day, my experience must have been pretty awful. Also, I worked at 2 different fast food chains for a couple of years and understand that the fast food industry can be overwhelming and stressful at times but this seems unacceptable and the cashiers need to do a better job of listening to the orders.
I’ve been here twice and both times I would describe my experience as disappointing and mediocre at best. The first time, I ordered the spicy miso soup. I asked the cashier how spicy it was and she said it’s not that spicy and asked if I would like to leave out the spicy sauce. I said yes please since I wasn’t in the mood for spicy food that day. When the food came out, I took 2 bites of it and it was the most spicy thing I have ever tasted. I asked for a to go bowl because I felt like I would literally turn into a fire breathing dragon just from those 2 bites! I strained all of the broth, taking only the noodles, meat, and veggies home with me so I could try to water it down. Even with putting a pack of grocery store ramen in with it and a generous amount of water it was still unbeatable. It completely ruined my lunch. Also their boba cups don’t seal well. The ‘lids’ are vacuumed sealed to the cup and are very easy to pop off which isn’t good considering you have to shake most of the drinks.
A few weeks later I decided to give it another try because I believe everyone needs a second chance. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee frappe boba. I was very disappointed when they gave me a very watered down coffee with A TON of ice with boba at the bottom. No frappe consistency at all. Plus all of the ice was blocking the boba so I could barely get any of it with my drink. I’m pretty sure I got about 6 ounces of (watered down) liquid in my 16 ounce cup, a drink that I didn’t even want in the first place. Disappointed, I ordered another drink to go. This time I ordered a brown sugar milk tea with no boba and no ice. I watched the guy make it and he basically filled the entire cup up with milk with a little drizzle of the syrup they use. He didn’t mix it up either, not that it would’ve mattered since it basically just tasted like plain milk with a tiny hint of flavoring. Yes, they straight up sold me an overpriced cup milk for $5. For $5 I could get 2 GALLONS of milk at the grocery store for what they charged me for a single cup.
Also, a note about the environment. Both times I visited was during weekday lunch hours. The place was very busy. There was someone who appeared the the the manager taking up an entire table to use as her personal office in the middle of the dining area. It would be quite frustrating for paying customers to not be able to find a seat (in an already small dining area) due to an employee turning a table into a makeshift office during lunch rush.
My overall opinion: save your money! There are several far better Asian restaurants in the area and better boba - coming from an Asian myself. I would definitely recommend Doba Cafe instead. They are just right off the Newnan square and their food and customer service far surpasses anything else I’ve ever experienced in my lifetime. Needless to say I will never be back here and will be supporting Doba...
Read moreOnly real reasons I’m giving it a two star is because for my first time ordering food not only did I barely get any food with the space left on my trays but I paid for additional sauces and thought it was cute they had Vietnamese coffee and cookies and cream pockys for my children and I to come home with none of it in this nicely closed bag. I called and spoke with a young lady that mention if after I got comfortable it wouldn’t be an inconvenience if I would leave to come back for something I waited about thirty minutes for but I did it anyway. I send someone in there to retrieve my items that was told would be to the side for him to come out like what am I getting again. So outside of the restaurant I am calling and now talking to a young guy who apologized and mention the stuff was there but I had to talk to the manager about redeeming my coupon that said I could redeem. I waited till no one picked up and my stuff was bought to the car. I looked in and seen they threw the fries in the bag already. I can’t get to made because atleast I was able to redeem my coupon there to get another one so my boys didn’t have to share. Besides that anyone on a diet and love spice I would recommend the little spicy basil mango. I was shocked that I didn’t even wanna share my food how well put the flavors compliment each other. It has onions, green peppers, chicken, basil and mango with some spice. You can’t taste the sweet like the mango or basil as much because I added spice to kill this metabolism 😂 I know right! Anyway but I had brown rice with it. It actually was tolarable. The coffee taste like what I normally prefer which is a dark roast toasted taste. I don’t do sugar and this definitely doesn’t taste like it has that much or any at all in it. Again, the food could have been the quantity I paid for along with the items that became missing in my bag but the taste is actually very good. Would love to be a regular customer if they could maybe they could make sure everyone who waits for their order to be prepared for pick up has everything in it before they leave. You never know how far a person lives to be messing up a 60...
