i have never written a negative review before!
came in on a monday night for dinner with my boyfriend, it was steady but not busy at all. this is our third time coming here and the last two times were great but tonight was awful. we got sat by the host who was super kind, and then it took the server awhile to get to us, like longer than normal (again it was not busy). normally we’re supposed to get the rice and salad before the server comes over to introduce and get drinks, didn’t get either but that wasn’t on the actual server but still should’ve realized it. when she finally took our order, she got the meats but didn’t ask for our sides. we had to call her over again and ask about the sides, she says “oh, sorry”. not acceptable. i believe her name was brianna. we got the meats brought out to us by the server, but no sides. we didn’t think anything of it at first but then after a few minutes we started questioning it so we asked her about where the sides were. she goes “oh sorry the kitchen was still working on the rice cakes, but let me go check.” she didn’t even bother letting us know ahead of time before we asked about it that the kitchen was slow, still working on it. if she let us know about the kitchen, then we would’ve been very understanding but nope nothing. then finally after the second time, she brought the sides but guess what NO RICE that we asked about with the sides as well. so by the third time we asked, she finally brought it out. when the meat was done cooking, we took it off the burner and the server let the grill remain on while she was yapping to her coworker (my boyfriend saw her in the corner of his eye) and not paying attention to it. we were very tempted in not tipping at all, but we decided to at least give a little something. but if it kept going on with the laziness, we would’ve left nothing (and we’ve never left nothing before). also she never wrote anything down, and she still forgot almost all of it. WRITE STUFF DOWN ITS...
Read moreThis is the first and last time I will be going here. To start when you walk into the place it is a mix of a club vibe and a restraint. They had music videos playing one every wall and music that was so loud it make it hard to have a conversation. On every all the walls and dividers they had blue led lighting that really messed with my vision. The food: It is an all you can eat so that is nice if you come hungry if not 29$ per person is a bit much. The food was ok but nothing scream about. Wife order limon chicken and I order the bogie beef when they brought it out it came with a pair a scissors, and a single tongue. The used the tongues to put the uncooked meat on the grill so you had to cross contaminate the chicken and the beef as it was cooked so it was raw food, touching the tongues even when the food was done, you had to use the same tongues to take the cooked food off the grill so it was all cross contaminated with raw chicken, juice or beef juice. Fom a chef's perspective this is very risky and could lead to someone getting sick. The rice that was served with the food was brought out in the beginning so by the time the food was cooked it was ice cold. Recommendation: When you bring out the food I would have tongues for each meat and one for cooked. Also I would do something like Fogo de Chão does by putting a card on the table to let them know you are ready for hot rice and a new order of meat to be brought out. I also would let each personal know the time each meat should be cooked for like they do when you get fondue so that the food is cooked correctly. Our server did a great job at first but as he got more tables to work he spent more time at the bigger tables. For me this is a one-and-done I will not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Iron Age Korean BBQ restaurant, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was modern yet cozy, and the ambiance was just right for a relaxing evening out.
The star of the show, of course, was the food. The menu featured a wide variety of meats and seafood, all of which were cooked to perfection on the grill at our table. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, and the portions were generous. Each dish was bursting with flavor and seasoned just right, and the staff was happy to make recommendations and provide guidance on how to best enjoy each dish.
One standout dish for me was the Hawaiian Bulgogi, or Korean marinated beef. The meat was so tender and flavorful, it practically melted in my mouth.
But the food was only part of the experience. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The servers even helped us cook the meat to perfection, ensuring that every bite was as delicious as possible.
Overall, I would highly recommend Iron Age Korean BBQ restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back and try more...
