Beware of predatory behavior from Jeremy (The Owner). I sent my 17 year old daughter to return a pair of Nike shoes to the UPS store per Nike. This location charged her $16 dollars for a box to send the shoes back. $16 dollars for a box.. Once she told me, I questioned the individuals and was told that there was a packaging fee. When asked why they didnt sell her a box and tape so she could save $10 and not be price gouged, the owner Jeremy said she should have know to do that to save money and he didnt want to assume her age. There is no assumption when seeing a teenager and it clear when interacting with someone that they are no familiar with a process or procedure. He stated that "what if I suggest to her to buy tape and a box and others in line here that and do the same and I lose revenue because people packaged their own items" So basically instead of helping a kid and doing the right thing, the bottom line is more important since the revenue from the sale and box as well as the payment received from Nike for doing the order was not enough. This is predatory behavior and taking advantage of a teenager who clearly hasn't done this before. They could have done the right thing and chose not to. When I tried to ask Jeremy (the owner) about it, he immediately told me to think of it from a business and bottom line perspective instead of from the perspective of a teenager being taken advantage of. What if this were a elderly person. Would you capitalize on their status and gouge them for every penny you could to.. This was about gouging someone and he as much said so.. He kept wanting to be smart and say "am i supposed to guess her age or assume, you know what happens when you assume?".. Anyone with a brain and eyes can see a child and know what a child is when they see them. Avoid this location unless you would also like to be taken advantage of like they did...
Read moreThis UPS is terrible. I brought my package in on a Monday and paid for the quickest delivery to Canada. I was told it would be there by Wednesday. I paid the higher rate and left. The next day, I got a call from the warehouse saying they didn’t have the invoice number for my package. I honestly thought this was a scam and told them they need to call the store. They said they called the store multiple times and no one answered. I looked for the invoice and I didn’t have the number either, only the tracking number. I called the store and the person I spoke to said they didn’t know the warehouse needed an invoice number so they would reach out to the warehouse. Obviously I knew it wasn’t going to be there the next day at this point, but I was assure it would still be two day shipping. The next day was Wednesday, when my package was initially supposed to be delivered, and I got the SAME CALL from the warehouse. Again I told them I didn’t have the invoice number and to please get it from the store. I called the store again and this time they told me the invoice fell off and they would send a new one to the warehouse. The next day I checked my tracking number and it said it would get there in A WEEK. So I called the store and they said there was nothing they could do although they assured me it would be delivered earlier than the tracking number said. Well it’s been a week and the package was delivered today. Six days after the initial delivery date. I went in for a refund today and the guy didn’t even apologize. Ridiculous. And I don’t even have...
Read moreThis is my go-to store for shipping and generally they're decent folks, but today I had a bizarre interaction with the two girls at the front counter. I had an Amazon return to make, just a tent, but when I got there and they scanned it they proclaimed that the item needed to be repackaged. I was confused because I brought the item back how I received it (just a tent bag with the handles, tent inside), and when I explained this I was met with disbelief. The girl that was helping me wasn't understanding and a second girl came over just to exclaim "You did not receive it like that, where is the label?!". I tried to explain that I, quite obviously, removed the shipping label because I attempted to set the tent up but wasn't happy with the result but they cut me off and insisted I needed to buy a bag to ship it in. At this point it was literally no longer worth my time so I conceded and bought the bag just so I could leave. I've never been met with customer service reps who dig in their heels and accuse me of lying over something so inane and basic, as it was pretty evident that there was a miscommunication somewhere between Amazon and UPS but somehow it got dumped on me in this moment. Not a shining example of customer service, if I'm...
