Was REALLY looking forward to trying, as we have been to Playa Bowls at the shore--how great to have a similar place in Bucks County! Well, first we were told that we couldn't place a takeout order on the phone (?!) Every other bowl and smoothie place takes online/phone orders--why make you wait in the store instead of at home? But based on the high ratings, we made the trip in anyway. Then, the unsmiling girl (short girl with glasses) who took our order said that you cannot custom order--even though we are not banana fans (it overpowers the taste), you can ask not to have banana on top, but it has to come in the base. Fine. Asked for a lid for our to go order.
When we finally got our order after a long wait, despite the store being almost empty, there was no lid and bananas on top--even though the girl had written "no banana" on the cup. When I asked for a lid, another girl helped me since the original unsmiling girl was too busy texting on her phone and pretending not to listen. The other girls in the store were friendly though....And as expected--the bowl tasted totally like banana, couldn't taste any of the pitaya flavor, which is the exotic ingredient you are paying the $10 for, right? Very disappointing--can see why there was almost no one in the store. We...
Read moreI’ve been a long time customer of this place prior to 2020. Any chance I was willing to drive 40 mins just for a smoothie I would. As a strict organic gluten free sugar free soy free vegan with many food allergies going out is often a chore. I loved this place. But I have noticed a change in decor it seems more cold and the pre bottled juices seem to be diluted or sat for way too long and separated. When Kelly was the owner it seemed warmer in the store. Altho the smoothies and smoothie bowls still seem to be the same quality. Just a bit sad about the bottled juice. But I’m glad this place still exists and support this business as much as I can. It’s the only place I can go and feel “normal” when I order. Also they seemed to change the bowl container to some sort of plastic. I much rather the papery ones more eco friendly which matters to me. But I definitely still recommend this place to everyone.
I just want to say since new owner ship they never pick up their phone when they are supposed to be open. It’s a far drive and I want to make sure they are open. This has happened multiple times. Just checking hours since the seasons have changed. But apparently no...
Read moreBy far the most natural, delicious, and day-brightening smoothie/acai bowl store I've found to date. The staff are tremendously friendly and the business is well aligned with all things well-being, health, environmental consciousness and peace; they're certainly a company with a larger purpose. For example, today they are donating 20% of all sales to Hurrican Dorian relief.
I'm tempted to tell you to not come and check it out because I selfishly want the place all to myself but, in all seriousness, you'll thank yourself for visiting.
(Just remember that the high quality food does come at a slightly higher price than other options with fewer fresh and natural ingredients.)
Pro tip: Though everything on their menu is spectacular, I personally love the "Cacao Wow" smoothie (pronounced "Ka-cow wow") and also their Nutty Yum acai bowl. They're my go-to orders and I've never been...
