I visit the Atlanta area fairly frequently on business. I had some time between appointments in Norcross today and stumbled upon this shop more or less by chance. They just opened a few weeks ago. It's a great little shop.
For a newly-opened vinyl shop, I found their selection of used rock vinyl (my sole interest) to be modest, but perfectly adequate. I would expect their inventory to grow over time. I had only about a half hour to spare which was just enough time go through their offerings. I found there to be a wide variety of prices and conditions. There seemed to be something for every taste from bargain basement to relatively high-end. They had some very cool items. I ended up buying a really nice original pressing of "Dire Straights" still in shrink (no bar code on cover) for $22.
In addition to a nice, albeit modest, selection, I got to meet the proprietor. What a nice gentleman. He was extremely personable and thanked me for visiting. I will absolutely be going back the next time that I visit Gwinnett. I sure wish them the best of luck and hope that they're around for a long time.
Nice selection, good prices, and wonderful people. What's...
Read moreI discovered this store w/my daughter. We walked in to unexpected cool! Joy greeted us with a smile, and offered us a quick tour of the multi-room store. All items were categorized and neat with labels. Each room had different experiences with its own energy. We explored various DVD’s and vinyls while watching a bit of Fleetwood Mac’s live show, (The Dance) on a display TV. Joy even returned to be sure I wasn’t on a mission for a specific item. We spent about an hour there and had a great time. They noted they buy/sell various audio equipment and players. The selection of all the items- from equipment to vinyl, audio cassettes, CD’s, DVD’s, framed art, and even some apparel (shirts, mainly) are great quality, and the things I did buy are in excellent used condition. It is clear they take a great deal of pride in this store, and they should- because the effort is easy to see and appreciate. I recommend visiting, and let them know what you think! They love...
Read moreA new record store opened on April 20th, 2024. It's very well organized and they sell used as well as new vinyl, CDs, even DVDs. They sell turntables, receivers, speakers. The inventory changes often , so it is worth visiting several times if you are looking for something special. Prices are reasonable compared to other stores. There are several bargain bins that have vinyl for $3.50!! nx vinyl buys vinyl as long as the vinyl has been in a smoke-free environment. Not only is shopping fun, but each room is an experience- the country room has country music videos playing on a large screen TV, jazz room has jazz videos, the rock room has awesome rock videos playing. The listening room is equipped with turntable and speakers so that an employee can put your vinyl on to listen before you buy. Great vibes, knowledgeable owner, engaging staff who give you a quick tour and offer help. Check nx vinyl out-youll be glad...
