To put things simply: Golden Corral isn't bad, it's just not worth it. Let me elaborate. I don't think that anything in Golden Corral is necessarily BAD. Some of their foods come close, but by and large it's not downright inedible. The issue with Golden Corral is the classic buffet issue: the food doesn't match the money. As a buffet, they're required to try and provide as much variety as possible, and they have to provide large amounts of each food they provide. The end result of this is foods that abound in quantity, but fall short in quality. Cheap and quickly prepared foods are served to appease the "all you can eat" mentality, but in the process you end up with foods that your grandmother wouldn't be caught dead serving at family reunions. The lack of quality in the food wouldn't be so bad if the prices weren't so humorously mismatched. To eat at Golden Corral means spends 10-15 dollars per person in exchange for a meal that is hardly worth a third of that cost. This is the single issue that cripples Golden Corral! They can't serve better food to match the prices without slowing service and losing potential business, and they can't lower prices while still providing an even poorer experience! This is why I say that Golden Corral isn't worth it: you can always get a better experience for that same cost. There's places where you can spend less money and get better food! There are also places where the same amount of money will get you large quantities of food that you can actually enjoy. If you're a nuclear family, Golden Corral will cost you 40-50 dollars. Do you know where you could get better food for that same money? Just about anywhere else.

Just a little bit of everything out and it was cold. Donโt even get me started on the guy cooking the steaks. Liek what is going through your mind to cook the steaks to WELL DONE in the first place. Then I saw him cut a beautiful ribeye in half so the steak would last more people, then he proceeded to CUT IT IN HALF AGAIN. And all the pieces he cut up he put back onto the grill with the pink side down so it was well done as well. Then I went and got some macaroni and cheese, took a bit out of it and it was so cold to the point the cheese was still lumps. Let me tell you how gross that is, I gagged as I first bit down. Then while there were still customers in there they started fully closing down. I understand closing the front area, but closing the whole restaurant when itโs not even 8 is crazy. I understand lightly picking up but they were full on stacking chairs on tables taking food off the line and the grill dude decided to clean his flat top with the steaks right next to him, on the same grill.
