Sportsman's Warehouse — Local services in North Fayette Township

So I like everything about this place, except for the sections where they have traps and bait. They have excellent service at the gun register. A lot of the gear is amazing. But I’m not a fan of the traps that they sell with dispatch springs not meant for beavers(the only animal that you were legally allowed to use a kill snare on Pennsylvania) and footholds with a jaw spread that is far exceeding the state regulation and has teeth (clearly designed for bears, which are not legal to trap in Pennsylvania). These are not ethical traps to use as they will actually kill or name a non-targeted species or a species that is not allowed to be trapped using that means. Also, they sell a few baits that might promote some unsportsmanlike behavior in the woods. For example, deer bait that looks like dirt. I really want to like the store, but I cannot condone traps that are illegal and equipment that promotes unsportsmanlike conduct. Clean up your act on the hunting gear. You’re...

Sportsmans Supply has been great to deal with. I have purchased several items from them on Gunbroker in the past 4 years. Perfect every time. I Accidentally bid on the wrong item on gun broker. The description was correct, totally 100% my fault.

Won the auction. Sent a message about the mistake. Heather called and was very nice about it. Told me about the restocking fee which is high but I understand, they have a business to run and still have to pay a cut to gunbroker. I told her I would just have to pay for my mistake and move on.

7/15 Tried price matching an item from a similar brick and mortar. Cashier called manager. Manager wouldn't come up said they don't price match from them. I then pulled up their own policy and it specifically stated they did. He came up looked pissed as though we inconvenienced him and then he said my sales price was a special offer and he refused to price match it even though it's available to everyone not just me. He then told me to never come back. Honestly I don't think I will there's a reason their stock is down and people like him are why.
