Hi I frequent the Irwin Pennsylvania store quite often I run into Dave. he's one of the managers all the time he always greet you with a smile and hello and is always so helpful if you need anything or tries to help you if you're having a problem or issue, but he is always very understanding takes his time to listen and always polite. It feels like you have a friend when you go up to the store very welcoming. A new lady I have met up the store recently her name was Judy she said she does most of the stocking and works taking things off the truck. she again was very pleasant and extremely helpful. I was trying to find a plug to test some lights, and she not only found one but crawled on the ground and asked for the cord to Plug it in herself even though I said, I would do it. she also helped me locate a couple other items and took the time to explain to me which items would be on sale? she extremely kind and helpful and always had a smile on her face When we checked out we had two cart loads of items and it was a very busy day at the store a young lady named Michelle Wendy waited on us I've seen her there many times and she too is also very helpful. and was concerned that we might not have a charge to get the additional discount, but we explained to her we did but she wanted to make sure with all the items we had that we would get the discount that she thought we deserved she was nice to talk to and again it was a pleasure having her check us out she didn't hurry up or become disgusted because we had so many items. we went to the Monroeville store and had an item we had to return today. The lady never greeted us or smiled we even try to make small talk. wasn't a Very friendly, warm experience.
that's why we do all our shopping at the Irwin store. It's a pleasure to do business with them not the cold shoulder we got at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEven though it said that pickup was available in the store for a specific product I found online it was not the same appearance as online. I would say it is better to try the clothes on in a fitting room versus buying online unless you already tried on the exact product already in the store first. They do have an overall decent selection albeit I did not find one item that worked specifically for me. I'm very picky. I like plenty if leg room where the pants are not hugging your crouch or hugging your rearend to put it politely, which means I like loose fitting cotton knit pants. I never could stand tight pants. Tight pants can give you urinary tract and yeast infections and it is always better to wear loose fitting clothing made of cotton in my opinion. Other than that, the lady who helped me was very helpful and respectful. They don't have a lot of staff on hand, but if you are patient they will help you. The key is to treat people as you wish to be treated wherever you go. If you're impatient and can't wait five minutes then don't go asking for help. They do have a Sephora in the store itself, but I really only went in to try and find a few pairs of pants. Unfortunately they just did not fit. : (
I'm disappointed because Kmart used to sell the Basic Editions cotton knit slacks, but it is a Kmart brand and well, being a Kmart brand it is difficult finding precise styles. I thought I would try another brand. I just hope the pants I do have do not get too many holes in them because they seem to be irreplaceable now. I wish Kohl's would have had an equivalent because they are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm giving 4-stars because the front desk customer service associate lady was fantastic and super duper helpful, polite and sweet despite my not having a paper receipt and forgetting the tags, she was pleasant and accommodating. She alone would get 5-stars!
The rating was dropped to 4 because the selection and presentation were extremely lacking and in much disarray. I don't go in-person to Kohl's much and when I do, I spend at least an hour every time. I was disappointed in the looks of the store. It's sad that customers don't respect merchandise and definitely don't try to keep things in order for others because they're too worried about themselves, too self-centered and pompous and have no regard for others. It's sad. To make matters worse, people don't want to work and this causes a domino effect to the associates that are working because they're stuck having to do the job of 2, 3, 4+ people.
All in all, the store and associates were friendly and kind. I'll definitely be back...
