I promised my daughter I would take her to Cold Stone after she passed her gate test. As promised, I took her right after the test on a Tuesday at about 2:30/3 pm. When we got there, there was only one employee at the Craig Road location. My impression was that she was not very friendly and seemed annoyed. You know how kids are; they are not sure and take their time to choose something, so she seemed very annoyed with it. I asked her to let my daughter try two flavors because she was not sure what she was going to get, and again, she seemed annoyed. Another thing I realized was that they did not have many flavors available, as one part of the ice cream chamber was closed. Oh well... my daughter finally decided on her flavor and got it in a bowl cone. I also got another bowl without the cone for my son. As we got home, my kids were very excited to eat the ice cream. When my daughter started to eat hers, she complained that her cone had a strange taste of cleaning supplies or soap. I went to check it out and I also found it to be very strange tasting. I asked my husband to try it, which he did, and he also found it to be very strange with a strong taste of cleaning supplies. He asked us to stop eating it right away. Next I saved the cone on a bowl and reserved it on the freezer and did the same with the ice-cream. So then I decided to call the store and spoke with the employee about what had just happened. She, without any regard, told me to call the owner and provided me with the owner's number. She did not apologize or ask any further questions. I said okay. I tried to call the owner, but she was unreachable that day. So, I went to the Cold Stone social media page and voiced my concern in one of their ice cream post. They reached out very quickly and very professionally through messaging. Well, I had already made the decision to reach out to the owner at Craig's location to voice my opinion. The next day, I reached out to her and told her everything that had happened. My first impression was that she was not professional at all. She didn't ask me any questions or even seem concerned about what I was telling her. Instead, she chose to be defensive and made excuses. Not once did she seem concerned or apologized for what had happened, then she went on to tell me that she would not be able to give me a new ice cream because it was out of the reach, but she would give me a discount and a free cone the next time I chose to go to their location. Then I told her it was not about getting another ice cream, but rather I was concerned with the quality of their ice cream and the dangerous taste of it. She then got very defensive again and basically hung up the phone on me!
I recommend you all try your cone right away at that location. I will never take my kids to that location again due to the lack of professionalism, friendly staff, and hygienic quality of the cones and ice cream.
On another note, the Cold Stone corporate office reached out to me and resolved the issue very professionally by listening to my concerns as a mom. I want to make sure that when I take my kids to enjoy ice cream elsewhere, I can be certain that my children will not be...
Read moreI am beyond disgusted with the conditions and service at this Cold Stone location. For the prices they charge, I expect a clean, professional, and sanitary environment. Instead, this store fails on every level, from hygiene to customer service, and it is an embarrassment to the brand.
Sanitation & Food Safety Issues Employees do not wear hairnets, and their hair is left loose, increasing the risk of contamination.
Workers have long nails and do not wear gloves while handling ice cream, which is completely unsanitary.
They scoop ice cream while wearing long-sleeve jackets covered in what looked like pet hair—this is unacceptable in a food establishment.
Ice cream appears spoiled, as my family and I became sick after eating here. It must have contained spoiled milk, and I wouldn’t be surprised if others have also gotten sick.
Instead of proper food storage, old ice cream is piled on top of new ice cream, making it look extremely unappetizing.
Workers are putting customers’ ice cream in trash bags—this is tacky, unprofessional, and completely unsanitary.
Store Cleanliness & Condition The floors, tables, and walls are filthy. I reached over and touched one of the canisters, and it was covered in dust—this proves how little they clean.
Hundreds of waffle cone cups are scattered everywhere, adding to the mess.
The store needs serious remodeling—containers, equipment, and displays are outdated and in poor condition.
The "Open" sign is never on after dark, as if they don’t even want customers to come in.
Horrible Customer Service & Unprofessionalism Every single worker here is extremely rude and acts like they don’t want to be there.
They rush customers instead of providing friendly service.
The owner, Naudia, is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of addressing concerns, she dismisses them.
When I called to speak with a manager, I was told there isn’t one. The shift lead, CJ, admitted she had no knowledge of health and sanitation policies.
I have already reported this location to the Health Department, and their corporate company because it should not be operating under these disgusting conditions. The health department needs to shut it down before more customers get sick.
Until they completely clean, retrain staff, and fix their health code violations, I strongly recommend avoiding...

I am extremely disappointed with the conditions and service at this Cold Stone location. For the prices they charge, I expect a clean, professional, and sanitary environment but instead, this store gives the brand a bad image.
The workers are consistently rude, never greet customers, and, most concerning, fail to follow basic health and safety protocols. They do not wear hairnets while serving ice cream, and many have long nails, which is highly unsanitary. To make matters worse, they aren’t even in uniform privately owned or not, there should be standards in place.
I have called multiple times to speak with a manager, but there never seems to be one available. When I requested a supervisor, I was told by an employee named CJ that she is the shift lead. However, when I asked about health and sanitation policies, she admitted she didn’t know. The lack of training is evident, and customer service is just as bad. When calling, employees answer with a simple “Cold Stone” and then go silent, with no proper greeting or professionalism.
The conditions inside the store are completely unacceptable. The floors are dirty, the few tables they have are also filthy, and the snack containers are visibly unclean. After making one customer's serving's (ice cream) instead of cleaning the table to make another, they just place the next customers serving's on top which causes your servings to be mixed with ice cream and add ons you did not ask for. Employees scoop ice cream without gloves, with long nails touching the product, and while wearing long-sleeve jackets covered in what looks like pet hair. This is not a sterile environment by any means, and it is absolutely disgusting.
I have already reached out to the Clark County Business Department etc. because there is no way this store should still be operating under these conditions. The health department needs to intervene immediately. This is a serious food safety issue, and something needs to be done before...
