I just want to take a moment to applaud the customer service team at the returns desk at Kohl’s. I stopped by during a busy time of day, right after work, so the line at the returns desk was understandably a bit long. Even with the rush, your team handled everything with calm professionalism. While I was waiting in line, I witnessed a grown man, probably in his late 40s or early 50s, throw a full-on tantrum because he had to wait a few minutes to return a pair of shoes. He had been in line for maybe five minutes before getting visibly annoyed. The young woman working the desk acknowledged him politely and let him know she’d be with him shortly, but he only became more irritated and started throwing his hands up in frustration.
A couple more minutes passed, and instead of waiting, he stormed up to the desk and said he wouldn’t wait any longer. The employee calmly and respectfully explained that Kohl’s customers were being helped first, which makes complete sense given it’s a Kohl’s store. She even apologized for the delay. Despite that, he continued to raise his voice and demanded to speak with a manager. She stayed professional, completed his return quickly, and directed him to her manager, where the man kept throwing a fit. I couldn’t hear what was said, but I could tell he was raising his voice and throwing his hands up again and again. Even his daughter looked embarrassed by his behavior.
I was genuinely impressed by how composed and respectful both the employee and the manager remained through the entire interaction. It couldn’t have been easy to deal with someone acting like that, especially during one of the busiest times of the day. I really hope your employees are being paid well for putting up with customers like that. They absolutely deserve recognition. Excellent job to the team that day — your professionalism did not...
Read moreThis once thriving store is now a shell of its former self. The only reason to ever go in there anymore is to drop off an Amazon return. We were in there on December 11th, the heart of the Christmas shopping season, and there were two nice but extremely slow cashiers with a line of more than ten customers waiting to checkout. Additionally, there were two employees at the customer service counter where we dropped off our Amazon return. We decided to look for a couple of Christmas gifts and this store’s selection is mediocre at best and there were zero employees out on the floor to help customers and answer questions. Last year I thought this store would be out of business by now. Basically, I would say they are other than the doors are still open. Sad ... I gave this store two stars because it’s an easy way to make returns to Amazon and the store is clean ... probably because there aren’t many people who ever go in there anymore. For the love of me, I can’t understand why Logan can’t get a Target to come in here. Heaven knows we have nearly every fast food franchise...
Read moreDeceptive terrible service... It amazed me that pants that my sister bought me for my Birthday on the 23rd of December for $58.00 got reduced to $5.85 right after Christmas! Coincidence?? I doubt it.. That is right during the time that people bring back presents that don't fit or are the wrong thing... They wouldn't even let me just switch them for a matching size. The literally felt honest for offering to give me a trade value of $5.85 telling me that is what their resale value would be... You show me ONE Kohls in the entire nation that would sell a pair of LEVI STRAUSS brand jeans for $5.85 and I would gladly take back this review! Totally Deceptive and Dishonest. I wonder how many people nationally Kohls did this to people right after Christmas... hmmmm. Great little scheme they cooked up.. maybe I should run my business that way... Give the a charge amount UP FRONT and then tell them the amount had multiplied by 10 right after they signed an unconditional contract with me.. Wait a minute.. no client of mine would stand for that I WOULD BE OUT OF...
