We are locals and have gone to the Hickory Tavern quite a few times and always enjoyed it. However, the other nite when we went, we asked for menu's and the waitress informed us we had to scan an app she provided with our phones. Number 1, we are older and not something we were happy to do, let alone they now have their app on your phone and able to gather all kinds of info. She said she would help us, I was deciding if we should just leave. Well, we decided to try and scan the app on both phones did not work. We called over the waitress, she tried and did not work. I asked her for a menu, she replied we don't have anymore menu's but I can get them to print one out for you in the office. Ok, I said...the menu arrived on a piece of paper and it was so small you could not even read it with glasses on. This is the LAST time we frequent this place. There is no reason they cannot have a few menu's to pass out if people need them. No need to go back and will not, the WOB is next door and really good, it was just to crowded the other nite to...

PetSmart with a Banfield vet clinic, nice Publix grocery, TJ Maxx, Ross, Ulta, Dick's sporting goods, Hobby Lobby, Hallmark, a small gym (Edison's Smart Fitness), dentist, optometrist, and a few restaurants. What I don't care for is the set up of smaller buildings away from the main stores that house several businesses each. When you drive into the complex, you come in along the back side of these buildings so it's hard to find what you are looking for unless you are already familiar with the layout. And the parking for these buildings is tight. The intersections aren't designed to handle the amount of traffic the area is getting either as the population is growing rapidly. Technically the shopping center has three parts, with the other sections having a HomeGoods, Burlington, among other things. The roads to get from one past to the other are convoluted though, or you pull a u-turn on the main drag 17 to get to them. Not the best planning considering how new this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for dinner at MOD Pizza with friend. It was my first time there, and it was awesome! There are 6" kid-size pies and 11" pies cut in 6 good-sized pieces. My friend and I each got 11" pizzas with the megadough (double thick), which provided my preferred chewy level over the single-depth thin crust. The really cool parts of MOD Pizza are that these brick-oven baked pizzas cost according to size regardless of how many toppings you order and you can choose among several cheeses, red or white sauce, and any combination of meats and veggies. My friend had double helpings of ham and pineapple with a little cheese, and I got lots of cheese with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and red onions. Each pizza with a large fountain soda (free refills) cost less than $14. In New England the pizza alone would have cost over...
