Unless you want to face discrimination I’d avoid this store. Mind you I’m a Hispanic light skinned Latina walking with my African American/ Hispanic son but once I walked in i was immediately asked if I needed help finding anything. I already knew what that meant.Theirs 2 floors and the escalator to the 2nd floor was available but the one to go downstairs was out of service. My son and I go to the 2nd floor looking for a backpack this is the 3rd time somebody has asked me if I needed help with anything. I once again say no thank you we’re fine! But then I thought about the escalator and said” you know what I do have a quick question “ the guy folding shirts with his back towards me says “I have a quick answer” I just thought he was just being funny so I giggled. I proceed to ask him “ how do we get out of here back downstairs?” And he says “theirs an elevator right here” I said “ok! Thank you!” And as I’m walking away heading towards the elevator he’s stops once again and says” you know you have to buy something here in order to be here right?” I was confused at what I heard and asked him to repeat himself again “you know you have to buy something to be here?” I looked at him in disbelief and walked away out the corner of my eye I watched him giggle and shake his head facing the folded clothes once again. I went to the elevators got to the first floor and walked right out. This isn’t my first time being discriminated against but when it happens it very dehumanizing and frustrating. Very weird of you guys to hire somebody who in 2025 believes in talking that way to customers. Please if your black or POC just please be aware. Not every place is for everybody I was simply going to get my son a new back pack for school and this is how I was treated. Just unnecessary and...
Read moreMy recent visit to Dick’s Sporting Goods in North Olmsted was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how immaculately clean the store was—floors spotless, shelves perfectly organized, and everything gleaming. It’s clear the team takes pride in maintaining a welcoming environment!
What truly stood out, though, was the outstanding customer service. Every floor representative greeted me with a smile and proactively offered assistance, making sure I found exactly what I needed. No request was too big or small—their attentiveness was next-level!
But the highlight of my trip was Emily at the checkout. She was an absolute rockstar! Not only was she efficient, but she also struck up the warmest conversation, cracked a few jokes, and made the whole process feel personal and fun. Her friendliness and genuine enthusiasm left me smiling long after I left. As I was heading out, she even thanked me by name and said, We’ll see you next time!—a small touch that meant a lot.
This experience is exactly why I keep coming back to Dick’s. The combination of a pristine store, a team that goes above and beyond, and standout team members like Emily makes every visit a pleasure. Hats off to this location for setting the gold standard in retail! 🏆
Thank you, North Olmsted Dick’s Sporting Goods —you’ve earned a...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed in the customer service at this location. I walked in intending to purchase a new pair of tennis shoes. Nobody greeted or acknowledged me, despite walking past many employees. I picked out a couple pairs of shoes to try on and waited for someone to help me. When nobody came I went to the front counter and asked for help. They said they would get someone over to help me. After about 10 minutes of nobody coming to help, I walked across the store and found someone and asked for help and being on my lunch break I told her I was in a bit of a rush. She went back and found shoes for me to try on. They didn’t fit so I needed to try a different size, but she disappeared. I went to the front counter again and said someone had been working with me and left. They said they would get someone over to help me. Another 5 or 10 minutes go by and the person that helped me the first time was now helping a customer who arrived after I had. Eventually someone came over and helped, and I purchased the shoes only because I needed them for a basketball game I was participating in that night. Moving forward I will not be using this location and am overall extremely unhappy with how I was...
