My wife and I are on the candida diet for health reasons and we struggled to find a food service we could use to prepare meals for us on the diet. We were so excited when we came across Savor as they claimed to have been doing this for over 20 years and have apparently helped hundreds of clients with candida issues. However, we were quickly disappointed with their services. We had several missing items, our food was made with ingredients that were not safe for the diet, and people were making our meals who were not trained well in the candida diet. We really wanted to love this service, as they are the only ones around who cater to this diet, but we just can't justify their continued mistakes. You would think for a company that has been doing this for so long they would pay extra attention to specialty diets like the candida diet, which is very strict on what you can/cannot eat. But that was not the case at all. It seemed like they always had an excuse as to why we were given the wrong food or why an ingredient we couldn't have was in our meals. We tried to let it go the first few times but it became a repetitive thing. It does not seem like anyone is even double checking the meals and food items because of this and we ultimately could not trust that our food was being made with safe ingredients if the main ingredients we could physically see were not even correct. Also, we have had several pieces of our meals missing such as tortillas and ranch. It is not hard to double check to make sure the delivery driver has everything needed. I will say that Debb has been very helpful with any questions that have come up for us but otherwise we have been very disappointed with Savor. If you are on a speciality diet I would not recommend using...
Read moreWe originally found Savor online after searching for a chef that could prepare healthy whole food meals for my two year old and I while I get through the first trimester of pregnancy. Just as I expected, I was riddled with nausea, extreme food aversions, and severe exhaustion this pregnancy but I am aware of how important nutrition is for the development of not only my unborn child, but myself and my toddler as well. I knew I had no capacity to cook and that’s why we reached out for some help. I was contacted by Deb at Savor less than one business day after submitting and online inquiry and she took 20 minutes of her time to go over everything I was looking for, all of the things I was avoiding, and what my nutrition goals were. She discussed their process with me and went over the pricing based on how many meals and servings I was needing. They sent me a menu so that I could add or change anything I needed to and were so accommodating to even the smallest substitutions! After getting my first week of meals, I was blown away. Everything is homemade at Savor. They don’t use any seed oils, all of their produce is organic and their meats are organic, pasture raised or grass fed. And you can taste it. My two year old loved everything as well and as a mother, I have peace of mind knowing I am nourishing my body, my baby and my toddler well. We look forward to ordering more meals once I give birth to get us through the first month of postpartum! I would recommend Savor to anyone who prioritizes nutrition and wellness without the desire to compromise taste. This...
Read moreWe were deeply nourished by the food provided by Savor’s team for The Great Work Retreat. From the very first spoonful, it was clear that this wasn’t just a meal—it was an offering of intention and a passion for food.
The Ayurvedic dinner, served family-style, perfectly complemented the rhythm of our retreat, which was steeped in meditation, somatic movement, and psychospiritual exploration. The kitchari—warm, grounding, and exquisitely balanced—held us in a state of ease and restoration. Each bite felt like a quiet encouragement to slow down and feel a sense of grounding in our bodies.
The seasonal vegetable subji, with its tender carrots, zucchini, and sweet potatoes, echoed the earth’s grounding energies that we were immersed in for the retreat. And the stewed fruit dessert—soft pears and apples with cinnamon and cardamom—offered a gentle, sweet close to the day, perfectly digestible and deeply comforting.
What made the experience even more exceptional was the quality of service: seamless, thoughtful, and infused with a quiet reverence for the space we were creating. It was clear that this was more than a meal—it was medicine.
I cannot recommend this chef and catering team highly enough for anyone seeking to nourish the body in a way that also supports the heart, spirit, and nervous system. Their food allowed us to commune around something universal – a hunger for food that heals with people we love.
With deepest...
