Not to be confused with the keller location, which is always fantastic. My wife and I ate lunch here on Wednesday afternoon. I should have trusted my gut to go elsewhere as this was the second time we have gone there and now the second time ive been heavily disappointed. This particular visit was all about the margaritas... the Perfect margarita to be exact. At the keller location, my wife and I have no problem paying 13 bucks for what if youre brave enough to have 2 or more, then you know youre getting what is promised. That is not the case with tbis location. After watching the "bartender" pour barely more than one ounce of a mystery alcohol with no label in it and finish the shaker off with sweet and sour, i knew i was being duped. I tasted it, and it had Zero alcohol taste to it at all. So when im expecting casamigos tequila, patron citronge liquor, and cointreau, i know thats not what i recieved. I approached the manager and asked him what the mystery bottle was, he had no clue. He proceeded to tell me he would have to ask. After a quick conference with his 2 servers, they glanced at us and never came to the table to offer some kind of explanation. When my food arrived, i informed the server/bartender that we would be switching to a beer because the margaritas in question were unacceptable. Still recieved absolutely zero explanation or any kind of condolences for the "mistake". Clearly they just got caught red handed ripping off the customer. And judging by the reaction, i am assuming it is the norm and not just a fluke. Just a fair warning, if you choose to still eat and drink here, watch what youre being poured. And a note to the business, if youre going to swindle your customers, make sure youre not improperly making a drink for a...
Read moreI just read another review that said their server was snappy and rude, which honestly describes the server I had, but I would add she is also condescending!! I have had her twice so she has been around awhile. We decided after this last visit we would not be back for a couple reasons.
I have gotten use to round fried potato’s with the Fajitas and usual order a side to have extra. On my prior visit I was told by the snappy rude server she could not serve a side of the potatoes as they don’t do sides and could not accommodate despite the fact they make them to garnish the fajitas. Move forward to our last visit and that same server told me they have completely stopped the potatoes two weeks ago. That is fine, but when I want fajitas I will be heading to a Mexican establishment that serves the potatoes too.
They are a little stingy with salsa here. Why bring one small for whole table? Post CoVid why would people share! Also, if it clearly not a family and separate people on lunch you should not provide one salsa to share. Salsa and chips is part of the Mexican experience. Yes, we asked for our own severing, but the salsa person should have extra on his tray when delivering to avoid us having to add another task for our already rude and snappy server.
Food quality and service. I don’t need a side of snappy and rude with my fajitas. What I need is a side of potatoes and value for money. Side note, I always paid extra to get extra potatoes. I never asked for anything free or for them to give extra portion of potatoes without me paying. The server just refused to serve them and has now stated they no longer serve them resulting in me needing to go to a restaurant that...
Read moreMy kids and I visited this location because it was convenient to where we were shopping that evening.
Huge mistake. The food was good as expected but the sevice was horrible. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but we waited forever for our waitress to come by our table or notice us so I could flag her down for drink refills. Same for when we were ready to leave, I swear we waited 30 mins for her to come back to our table just so could I get the check. I was tempted to get up and get the hostess to get our check cause I was getting so irritated as our waitress waited on the other larger tables or stopping to speak to other people.
Also, the customers left in the restaurant that night were crude and obnoxious. Yelling across the restaurant to one another. Like pull up some tables or move your party over to the section by the bar together 🙄 so you can talk instead of yelling across the room. Don't get me started on the train of women who walked right into the restaurant and straight to the back to use the restroom like this was a public rest stop.
Never coming back to this Baja location again. I'll stick to the one in Watauga where the staff is friendly and more attentive and I don't feel like I'm dining at rest stop. The Watauga location is way busier btw and yet the waiters and waitresses there still manage to check on their tables and keep their...
