My experience at this ulta location was awful. The only reason why Iâm giving it two stars is because the girls on the floor were very friendly and welcoming along with the cashiers. I came in for a makeup appointment and my stylist was Ariana B. After I checked in, Ariana took my to her chair and asked what look did I have in mind. I showed her two pictures of a soft glam look that I wanted and asked if she can do that. She told me yes. I also asked if she can add a soft, light, eyeliner along my bottom eye for a dramatic effect. She reluctantly said okay she will try. I then assure her no worries if she canât. It really wasnât a big deal with me. Throughout the whole service, she didnât say anything. Usually stylist create small talk or âso whatâs the special occasionâ but with her⌠nothing. I felt the awkwardness vibes and just sat in the chair until she was done. My back was turned to the mirror the whole time which I thought was odd considering I canât see what sheâs doing but I gave her the benefit of doubt. Im also 9months pregnant so this makeup apt was for my baby shower. Considering being almost full term, my belly is kinda out and while she was doing my makeup, her elbow hit my stomach a few times. She didnât even say apologies or anything which I felt even more awkward. When she put on my fake lashes she made me close my eyes which is weird because when the glue dried I try to open my eyes and I couldnât bc of the glue on BOTH my eyelids and in my eyes. It was crusty and not applied right. I told her I still had glue and if she can wipe it off. She looked at me and said âI donât see nothingâ and then tried to do my bottoms liner I asked for. My eyes were twitching so much from the glue and I broke the silence and said âsorryâ and she replied âthatâs why I donât like doing bottom liner, people twitch a lotâ.. I was going to say âwell itâs bc of my lash glueâ but I was just so shocked on the unprofessionalism I was experiencing. After the service she spun me around so I can see myself in the mirror. She did nothing of what I showed her in the pictures. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Not even close. I was so shocked and also disappointed. I thanked her, waited for my receipt to pay up front and that was it. Her attitude sucked I felt like I was being PRANKED. I felt what was the point of speaking up to her when she had an attitude from the beginning. I then went to the front and asked for the manager. The manager took one look at me and automatically knew I was not happy. Thankfully the manager was understanding and did not even expect me to pay for the service. Thatâs how bad it was. My eyelids were nothing but heavy eyeliner and instead of the soft cut crease I wanted in the pictureâŚShe gave me an orange, glittery eyeshadow. My face was white.. and my eyebrows were patchy. Not even 5 mins and the makeup was badly creasing. I donât know if girls do this on purpose and think you wonât say anything and pay for it?? I never complain about things .. not even when my coffee isnât made right at Starbucks but this was atrocious. The manager quickly gave me makeup remover wipes and hooked me up with Ariel to do my eye makeup the way I wanted. She made me feel way better. From all of this..    Read moreMy first time in your store in January and first time making a purchase here. I had no idea that it's very important to keep my receipt. I guess the company knows how faulty their product's are since in February I had to make an "exchange". Not a return but an exchange! One of three lipsticks (hmm not looking forward for the other two to fall apart) fell apart after four uses. Trying to exchange, Christina (manager) explained the policy about the receipt and if I was a Ulta member, in which I am not. Christina said, well without one we cannot exchange. I truly felt being punished for not being a "member"! What the hell is that all about. I'm not here to try to take advantage of anyone nor would I think a company would. I believe your company just did. But I think your policy truly sucks!! I've been in many stores to make an EXCHANGE and had no problem. And I wasn't a MEMBER nor had a RECEIPT!! If you carry faulty merchandise than I think it would be honorable for your company to allow exchanges without receipts. AND Christina "the manager", your customer service was not even close to my satisfaction. After speaking with you about my exchange you had me wait when you saw me there ready to make my transaction while to took another customer. Very unprofessional, manager? Sure, ok that's what your called. Yes, I'm extremely angry. I'm old school and come from an era of respect, dignity, honest and responsibility. Shame on you Ulta!! There are many companies that exist that honor an exchange without a receipt. You need to rethink this...

I took my daughter there to get her ears pierced and although the piercing technician was nice, I'm curious if this was the first time she had ever pierced someone's ears. First, it took 20 minutes for her to draw two even dots on both ears. Then, when she pierced my daughter's first lobe, she squeezed her eyes shut and looked away. I'm talking about the technician, not my daughter. The second lobe seemed easier and we kept cleaning them and doing what we were supposed to do.
Everything was fine until we went to change her earrings. That's when I was able to see how horrible the piercing actually was. Lower lobe piercings should be parallel to the floor when your head is straight. My daughter's piercing went up at a 45 degree angle. Because the earring and backing were bent (yes bent) from the day they were pierced (which the tech said was fine and normal), we couldn't see how awkwardly the earring was placed. From the front, it looks fine. However, we cannot get any earrings in by going from front to back and when we go from back to front, it looks like a down-facing arrow. It's really terrible.
We took my kid to a piercing/tattoo parlor to see what could be done and the hole is at such a bad angle, the only thing we CAN do is get my daughter's ears repierced in a slightly different location on her ear so there won't be two channels. I strongly regret my decision to go to Ulta...
