Absolutely terrible. I wish I could give them negative. Best Buy in highland completely screwed my family multiple times! We needed multiple appliances for our new house so we decided to go in and look at prices a few days before November to get an idea. Iâve did my research beforehand but was trying to find the sales and promotions. But We decided to apply for a card so we donât have to worry about it later. We liked the washer and fridge we saw and the sales rep recommended purchasing the washer because the price will never go lower no matter what sale it is. I was skeptical because we wanted to wait for Black Friday deals but we were told the deals are category specific like you get a deal for multiple kitchen appliances or laundry appliances. We ended up purchasing the washer because we were told if it goes lower on Black Friday then you can just return the washer and buy the other one. We were told that when they deliver the washer they will take the old one for $19.99 OR NIPSCO OFFERS A $50 REBATE FOR PICKING IT UP! So of course we went with the rebate but it turns out nipsco DOESNT!! They only do that for refridgerators. Now I have an old washer sitting in my garage and we canât pull the car in now. And we have a newborn and a 2 yr old! So whatever weâll figure out something to do with it. Well we just found out about these new deals for Black Friday so we want to return the washer and go with a set that comes with a 100 rebate (the rebate was going on when we first went in but she never told us about this one even though I specifically asked if any were going on) Also you receive a gift card the more appliances you buy and itâs not product specific (and I guess this came out November 1 which was only a few days after we purchased and we were told something completely different) We werenât upset because we knew we could return the washer up to 30 days. I called Best Buy today and was told there is NO WAY I can return the washer. It ends after 15 days unless ur elite members and to get that we have to spend $1500. So now I call corporate and Iâm told thereâs nothing I can do about it! BEST BUY just screwed over a family (that was going to spend A LOT of money there) all because they have somebody working there that didnât know what she was doing. On top of that we purchased something else and I wanted to receive the 10% points back for our future purchase but the sales rep told us that would be stupid because just to get $5 you have to have 500 points and it takes forever to gain points. Which btw is completely false and I found that out later after reading over the rewards. So there we got screwed out of $20 toward our future purchase. The sales rep also told us you have to get the Best Buy app no matter what because the only way to pay is coming into the store but if you have the app you can pay in there too. Thatâs completely false too. Thatâs not even every detail so yea they are definitely nice and friendly when you come in because theyâre trying to push the sale and have you open a card. But really a lot of the people there have no idea about the stuff they are selling so beware. I would without a doubt go somewhere else besides Best Buy. I will post everywhere I can to warn people about this. Thatâs not right what they did. The people rely on assistance from reps and you canât give them complete lies. Especially when thousands of dollars are on the line....
Read moreI want to start off by saying that as somebody who worked retail before, I know that it can be mundane and repetitive. I try to always cut the associates some slack and remind myself that Iâve had bad days too, we all have. Today however I just canât understand what went wrong and how it went SO wrong for no reason whatsoever. My boyfriend and I went in there and spent almost a thousand dollars today, we got a 65â tv and an Xbox X. We even got insurance on the tv because Ken suggested it. For starters, Ken did approach us and ask what we were looking around for and was trying to help us out at the beginning. Once we showed him the tv online we had saw at another retailer, my partner told him look if you can find the same TV here and itâs the same price, weâll just get it from here. We had originally planned on going to a few other stores to compare prices, but since somebody went out of their way to help us out, we figured well we can get it over and done with and give Best Buy our business. NEVER AGAIN. When comparing tvâs I caught a vibe that we were being annoying and taking up Kenâs time, I brushed it off and thought nothing more of it. We went to go pick up our Xbox once we decided on the tv and Ken told us to come back when done to check out and our tv would be ready. We finally started to check out and Ken asked what we were driving, when my partner told him the make and model of his car, he then proceeded to check his phone and confirm that it would definitely not fit and would be a waste of time to help us take it out to the car. He told us we could get it delivered to our home for free but that there would be additional fees since we live in Chicago and not in Indiana (out of state fees.) I really felt we should at least try, especially since at first he seemed unsure until he checked his phone and somehow figured out it wouldn't. But without checking the exact dimensions of the tv and asking if we could get the cars dimensions,I didnât know how he could just be so sure it would not fit. So we told him we wanted to try and he told us to pull the car up and he would haul the TV out, we waited for 10 minutes, and as other people started to pull up behind us, they got service first. So my boyfriend went in to see what was going on and he was held up, taking care of another customers questions. So my partner took the TV out himself, and we waited for Ken, waited and waited and nothing. Finally, I got out of the car and we tried to put it in the backseat and it did not fit. Finally Ken came out, looked at what we were doing and said âtold youâ and went back inside as we tried to figure out how to get the seats down. We got the seats down and as other Best Buy workers came out to help other customers load up their cars, my partner and I pushed that big boy into the back of the trunk and slid it all the way through. Granted, my partner was complaining that nobody was helping us and the other Best Buy workers (two younger men) just laughed at us and walked inside while staring. We were frustrated, after spending all that money, we didnât get any help, figured it out by ourselves, and still had to haul the dolly back in because Ken decided to never come back out. Needless to say, it was terrible customer service. We didnât have to purchase from this store but wanted to give our business since we thought we would be helped. Guess not, thanks for...
Read moreMUST READ IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY!!!! So you think you are buying a product at advertised discounted price, think again. I purchased this item at a current at the time (Oct 2020) discount price of $149.99. Well, 12 days later Best Buy without any authorization or even notice decides to charge my Paypal/credit card additional amount. At first I was going to report to my credit card that my card info must have been stolen. However, after some calls it turns out that BEST BUY decided to quietly charge additional money 12 DAYS LATER for this transaction as if I was purchasing at a regular price of $199.99. I will try to attach some screen shots (not sure if Best Buy will take them down) to illustrate. Essentially, authorized transaction after my state tax brings it to $160.49. I even received confirmation email (several throughout the process) confirming this amount/transaction. However, as mentioned previously 12 days later a MYSTERIOUS charge of $53.50 appeared on my Paypal account from Best Buy. Even though I made no other transactions with Best Buy in these 2 months. When I called BEST BUY and was directed to âPrimary Support Departmentâ they literally put me on hold several times resulting in over an hour conversation with only result of them telling me âI have great news; we will honor the price of $149.99 and reimburse you the charge of $53.50â Seriously, you just wasted an hour of my time to only inform me that you will not hold on to the money Best Buy literally stole! After that I had several phone conversations about this FRAUDULENT CHARGE with Best Buy supervisors, even tried discussing it with Best Buy headquarters/corporate, but its apparent that they do not care. Iâve been assigned several case numbers with their various departments, but with result of pushing me around and not calling me as they informed me that they will. In the end after my ANOTHER follow up call today for why it has been almost 3 weeks and no one from the BEST BUY Corporate called me when they said they will within 2 to 3 business days, the âPrimary Support Departmentâ ,and not corporate by the way, offered 10% off my next purchase. Sure, let me purchase something with that so that BEST BUY can charge me several days or weeks later for regular price and hope that the customer wonât notice. OK?!?!? BEST BUY why not just admit that you made an unauthorized charge and actually apologize for it and inform me what you will do so it does not happen again. Or is this BEST BUY intentional action and I am not the only one that this happens to? Hmm⌠As far as the matter resolution offer of 10% off on NEXT purchase to sweep this under the rug I will let the readers decide if that makes things right. I get it, this is not a significant amount of money for this particular transition, but if BEST BUY gets away with this for 100K+ customers throughout, it adds up. With this kind of FRAUD and customer resolution approach, this is significant enough to keep me away from BEST BUY for future purchases. I will continue my purchases from reputable merchants such as AMAZON, COSTCO, etcâŚ. Again, if you care about your money you might want to monitor your credit card statement after each transactions for days, maybe weeks, maybe months...
