Honestly deserves negative stars. Amateur operation and corporate should legitimately be embarrassed of this store. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable service to customers. We preordered 30 birthday balloons for my son’s first birthday party today on July 26th. The staff instructed my wife to drop off balloons in advance to ensure the helium balloons would be filled on the day of the party. Simple enough. We dropped off the balloons SEVERAL days in advance as instructed and came in at 10AM per order instructions to pick them up today. We arrive on the dot at 10AM, are told by staff they have had a flood of orders, are running behind, so please give an additional 30 minutes. OK, already not great, because you are delaying our party timeline, but we get it…things happen. Then at 10:30, still no balloons, staff indicating they will give partial refund and pro rate the fee based on how many balloons they can fill? What? Is this how you run a business? You have a gigantic banner outside your store that you take balloon orders. Anyone can take the order, can you actually fill it after taking my money? So then after 50 minutes we had enough, they gave us SIX balloons out of the 30 we had ordered days in advance. This was my son’s first birthday, I did everything I was instructed to do. And the store thinks it is ok to be nearly an hour late, give us no notice or respect for my time, and then give me 1/5 of my order? This is some pathetic shameless business and we will make sure to not be back. At this specific Michaels, I was in line still missing items that I was looking for that a craft store should have, and there was one person at the register helping only one customer with an issue. Never was I told "I'll be right with you" or any kind of comment acknowledging I exist, even though my self check out had alerted staff several times that I needed help. All I needed was to get my ID checked so I could purchase spray paint. This customer the register person was helping took up 40 minutes and the line was backed up out the door.
