This is a purely honest review. If your loved one is of complete sound mind and is totally healthy and mobile… this may be an ok place. If not…. Run!! Pros - The kitchen staff and some of the wait staff were great. Food looks appetizing. Building is very pretty and the rooms are spacious and well lit. On site therapists are AMAZING (yes, you Alexis!) Cons - understaffed, and the staff that is there is either not trained and/or just doesn’t care. They spend more time on their phones than helping residents. Was promised “prompts” (meaning they would remind residents of meal times/ activities, etc), check ins (checking on residents)… happened VERY rarely (was only a couple of staff when they worked). Laundry was “washed” without detergent many times, and lost multiple times. Housekeeping was a joke. (They did have one woman (Chris) who was awesome, but she left). If you go to management to voice your concerns you will get attitude and a whole lotta lip service. Nothing changed even after proof of negligence and safety concern. Actives used to be good when John was there but it all went south after he left. Overall - the management (Nicole) is hostile and has no intention on fixing anything. It’s all about the mighty dollar (which they will raise your rent regularly with no additional services). We moved my aunt and uncle to another facility and they are doing awesome. (Regular showers, woken up for meals, room and laundry cleaned regularly and the staff knows them and all their quirks…. These are all things that were NOT being done at Anthology). Btw, I was also there a few times a week to keep up on this and I know residents that didn’t have family to keep an eye on them probably fared worse. If your looking for a place for someone you love…....
Read moreMy mom has been at Anthology for 18 months now. While I could go on and on about negative experiences, I would like to highlight the positive. Caregivers, Activities staff and kitchen staff have the most contact with our beloved parents . They can make a lonely person's day! I would like to thank John in activities for planning such beautiful outings. My mom really looks forward to going on outings. Since she is mostly paralyzed, this is the only way she can get out. John is attentive and caring. He is wonderful at telling stories and stimulating conversation with all of the people who attend the activities. Activities have improved since John has been there! Diane, Debbie, Danielle in the kitchen are amazing and are involved with the people they serve. And as far as caregivers go, Taurus is most loving and caring. She cleans mom up and takes care of her like it was her own family, paying attention to details of hygiene. She interacts with mom so well and has the most wonderful giggle which comes easily to her. My mom has a big smile every time Taurus is on staff! There are many other wonderful staff members and I wish I could highlight them all. Thank you to all of the employees who love this most important job that they do. My mom and I...
Read moreMy mother has resided in this facility since it opened. The rent has been increasing substantially two times per year (this year alone $850 per month)based on services, care and meals. The only service my mom receives is trash removal. They have eliminated exercise activity 2 Saturdays per month, although I am told the facility is over staffed in that department. There is a menu generated weekly, but many times the kitchen is out of certain things so menu is subject to change. There have been times when my mom has been told there is not enough for an additional items if requested, therefore it is necessary to have food available in your room just in case This is an additional expense so be prepared. My mom keeps a tidy apartment but her carpet is showing signs of wear and tear and has never been cleaned. When I asked about new carpet for her I was told they change carpet every 10 years. Who makes a policy like this in...
