Bambu Desserts Drinks — Restaurant in Northville Charter Township

Pros: food was good and the building was clean aside from not having any toilet paper in the bathroom. The games on the table were a nice touch and kept my kids entertained while we waited for food.

Con: the servers were nice but it was very slow. At first I thought there was only one person working but one came out of nowhere from back room. We ordered 2nd and got our food last (3 groups ordering). My daughter ordered a waffle with ice cream and it took forever.

What was the most concerning was when my cousin ordered a halo halo for her daughter, the server said “Are you sure? Kids don’t like the halo halo.” We are Filipino American and we went there SPECIFICALLY for the halo halo, so that we can continue to expose our kids to our heritage. This comment was deeply upsetting. While I’m sure the server didn’t mean harm by this, please refrain from saying this comment to future customers. Don’t assume that this cultural drink will not be liked by kids. Let the customers make their own opinions.

Updating this, as 3 months later I still haven't found myself thrilled with any of the drinks I have gotten from this specific location. They're still not offering the Kashmiri tea, like they have in Canton, which is a huge bummer. And the past few times I have been in they have put SO MUCH crushed ice in my cup (when it was formerly normal cubes) that there was barely any room for tea, and I couldn't get the boba to come up the straw without getting a big mouthful of ice. My last order was basically a cup packed full of ice with maybe 3oz of tea, and a very small scoop of boba stuck at the bottom of an ice prison.

Not sure how this place can differ so vastly from the location in Canton...which is usually being run by kids. Guess I will keep making the annoying drive to Ford Rd, coz I'm tired of dropping ~$10/drink here just to be disappointed to...

First, I would like to start by saying not only does this place have amazing drink and snacks but the owner was so attentive and helpful with understanding all the options on the menu! She made lots of different recommendations for the best flavor combinations and she educated us on all the amazing things to try on the menu. This place has so many amazing features from the adorable adorable lounge area, to the delicious quality products they use, to the love and care they give to their customers! You guys rock and I highly highly recommend checking these guys out because you will be going back to try more, they have way too many amazing items on the menu. I was in shock with everything.
